Robert R. Bryant (June 14, 1918 – November 3, 2000) was an American football Tackle (American and Canadian football), tackle who played four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). Biography Bob Bryant was born on June 14, 1918 in Frederick, Oklahoma. He attended Olton Independent School District, Olton High School in Olton, Texas. He was also a member of the Calgary Stampeders of the Western Interprovincial Football Union. He played college football at Texas Tech University. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and Defensive tackle, defense.
