Bob Beers (ice Hockey)
Robert Charles Beers (born May 20, 1967) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. He currently serves as a radio commentator on Boston Bruins broadcasts on the 98.5 The Sports Hub Bruins radio network and is an occasional contributor to NESN Bruins and College Hockey broadcasts. Beers played Division 1 College Hockey at the University of Maine, in Orono, Maine. He is one of many former Black Bear players who went on to play in the NHL. Career As a youth, he played in the 1980 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Buffalo Regals minor ice hockey team. Beers was drafted in the 10th round, 210th overall, by the Boston Bruins in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. He played hockey with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres, Northern Arizona University and the University of Maine before reaching the NHL level. His career was split between the NHL, AHL and IHL. Bob L. Beers (born 1951) is an American politician who was a member of the Nevada Assembly representing District 21 in Clark County, Nevada. Prior to his election in 2006, he was an author involved in graphic arts and illustration. Originally from Eureka, California, Beers attended Arcata High School and Humboldt State College. He currently resides in Henderson, Nevada with his wife and son. Political career Beers was first elected to the Nevada Assembly in November 2006. It was remarked that he won the Republican primary spending only $153. As a Republican, he quickly generated controversy when he came to the aid of Nevada's tip-earning workers when Casino Mogul Steve Wynn instituted a program to retain 20% of his dealers' tips in violation of existing Nevada law. The controversy over Assemblyman Beers' bill, AB357 created an atmosphere that culminated in the first ever dealers union being formed on a strip property. Robert T. Beers (born October 14, 1959) is an American accountant (CPA) and member of the Republican Party who was a 2018 candidate for Nevada Treasurer. He was previously an elected member of the Las Vegas City Council from 2012 to 2017, Nevada Assembly from 1998 to 2004 and the Nevada Senate from 2005 to 2008. He ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for Governor of Nevada in 2006 and in January 2014, he announced that he would run against Democratic Senator Harry Reid in the 2016 U.S. Senate election, but he withdrew from the race in June 2015. In 2018, he was defeated for State Treasurer by Zach Conine. Early and personal life Beers moved to Las Vegas at age 11, graduating from Ed W. Clark High School with high honors in 1977 and from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with distinction with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1987.

Bob Beers (folk Singer)
The Beers Family was an American traditional folk music group that performed and recorded between 1958 and 1972. The members of the group were Robert Beers (sometimes billed as "Fiddler" Beers), his wife Evelyne Beers, and their daughter Martha Beers. The group was well known for performing at the Fox Hollow Festival, a folk music festival held on the Beers' farm near Petersburgh, New York, every year between 1964 and 1980. They also performed at the Mariposa Folk Festival in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, appearing in 1966 and 1968.
