Bob Auchterlonie
Vice-Admiral J. Robert "Bob" Auchterlonie (b. July 25, 1969) is a Royal Canadian Navy officer who is currently the Commander Canadian Joint Operations Command - CJOC since 18 June 2021. Education and career Auchterlonie joined the Canadian Forces as a ROTP cadet in 1987 and graduated with a Masters in Defence Studies from Royal Military College of Canada in 1991, later completing studies at Canadian Forces Command and Staff College and Naval Command College at the US Naval War College. He has served in vessels on both coasts for two decades and commanded from 2007 to 2009. He was previously Base Commander of CFB Esquimalt from 2012 to 2013 and then served as Commander Canadian Fleet Pacific from July 3, 2013 to June 24, 2015. Scott Bishop
Scott Edward George Bishop is a Canadian naval flag officer serving as a Vice Admiral in the Royal Canadian Navy. He presently serves as Canada's Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee, and was commander of the Canadian Forces Intelligence Command from 2016 to 2021. Background Bishop joined the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve in 1983 before joining the Regular Force in 1985. His first regular post was as a bridge watch-keeping officer on HMCS Restigouche. Bishop specialized in navigation, and served as the Navigating Officer in Royal Canadian Naval ships ''Chignecto'', ''Miramichi'', ''Qu'appelle'', and ''Provider''. Special Service Medal (Canada)
The Special Service Medal (french: Médaille du service spécial) is a service medal awarded to members of the Canadian Forces. The medal was established by letters patent by Queen Elizabeth II on 16 June 1984. Recipients of this medal must have performed, "service under exceptional circumstances". The medal is always issued with a bar which specifies the special service which the medal recognizes. Each bar has its own criteria. Appearance The medal is made of copper and zinc alloy and is circular, in diameter. The obverse depicts a maple leaf surrounded by a laurel wreath. The reverse contains the inscription "SPECIAL SERVICE SPÉCIAL", curving along the bottom edge of the medal. In the centre is the St Edward's Crown and Royal Cypher. The Operational Service Medal (french: Médaille du service opérationnel) is a campaign medal created in 2010 by the Canadian monarch- in-Council to recognize members of the Canadian Forces, allied forces, Canadian police officers, or Canadian civilians working for the Canadian Forces who had directly participated in any military campaign under Canadian or allied command.
