Bob And Sally
''Bob and Sally'' is 1948 American drama film produced by J. G. Sanford at Universal Studios and directed by Erle C. Kenton. Director of photography was Ellis Carter and the original screenplay was written by Mary C. Palmer. The film was one of the various " hygienic films" that were produced in the late 1940s, heavily influenced by the exploitation movie '' Mom and Dad'' (1945), produced by Kroger Babb and directed by William Beaudine. However, due to conflicts with the Production Code, ''Bob and Sally'' was not exhibited in the United States and its rights were later sold. The movie was re-released under two other titles, ''The Story of Bob and Sally'' and ''Tell Our Parents''. Plot This relationship drama of strain and hardship picks up when Mr. and Mrs. Wright are at the hospital, waiting for their daughter Helen to give birth to their first grandchild. Rick Vallin
Rick Vallin (born Eric Efron; September 24, 1919 – August 31, 1977) was an actor who appeared in more than 150 films between 1938 and 1966. Early years Born in Feodosia, in the Crimea, Russia, Vallin came to the United States at age there with his South American mother, Mrs. Nardine Thomes, on the S/S ''Muskegon'', which arrived at the Port of Boston on May 6, 1922. His father, an Imperial Army officer, was murdered by the Bolsheviks. His mother, known as Nadja Yatsenko, was a ballerina in Tsarist Russia; in the States, she was billed as a Gypsy dancer. Career In 1940, Vallin (billed as Eric Efron) acted on stage with the Hollytown Theater. Charles Quigley (February 12, 1906 – August 5, 1964) was an American actor. Early years Born in New Britain, Connecticut, Quigley was the son of Charles P. Quigley, who was sales manager for a hardware business. He was a 1924 graduate of New Britain High School, and he attended the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Career On stage, Quigley acted for a year with a stock theater company in Portland, Maine, after which he worked with a touring company of ''Expressing Willie''.
