Boa is a Croatian pop rock music group, which was especially active during the 1980s around the former SFR Yugoslavia. History The band's early history started in Zagreb, then SR Croatia in 1974, when its founding members Mladen Puljiz and Slavko Remenarić, switched their interest from classical music to rock music, inspired by art rock acts such as Yes (band), Yes, King Crimson, Genesis (band), Genesis, David Bowie, Roxy Music and Peter Gabriel. Aerodrom (band)
Aerodrom (also known as Jurica Pađen & Aerodrom) is a Croatian rock band from Zagreb. Aerodrom was founded in 1978 by Jurica Pađen, former member of rock bands Grupa 220 and Parni valjak. Aerodrom saw its greatest success in the early 1980s. Between 1979 and 1986 the band produced five studio albums, before disbanding in 1987. Between 1987 and 1990, Pađen was a member of Azra. In 1994, he formed Pađen band. In 2001, he launched a comeback of Aerodrom, with two of the band's original members. Rhythm Section
A rhythm section is a group of musicians within a music ensemble or band that provides the underlying rhythm, harmony and pulse of the accompaniment, providing a rhythmic and harmonic reference and "beat" for the rest of the band. The rhythm section is often contrasted with the roles of other musicians in the band, such as the lead guitarist or lead vocals whose primary job is to carry the melody. The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, commonly referred to as SFR Yugoslavia or simply as Yugoslavia, was a country in Central and Southeast Europe. ''Džuboks'' ( sr-cyr, italic=yes, Џубокс, trans. ''Jukebox'') was a Yugoslav music magazine. Launched in 1966, it was the very first magazine in SFR Yugoslavia dedicated predominantly to rock music and the first rock music magazine to be published in a communist country. ''BoA'' is the first US studio album by South Korean pop singer BoA and her twelfth studio album overall. The album was released on March 17, 2009, in the United States. ''BoA'' was released in Japan boxed with her second greatest hits album, ''Best & USA'', as a 2-in-1 CD. New Romantic
The New Romantic movement was an underground subculture movement that originated in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s. The movement emerged from the nightclub scene in London and Birmingham at venues such as Billy's and The Blitz. The New Romantic movement was characterised by flamboyant, eccentric fashion inspired by fashion boutiques such as Kahn and Bell in Birmingham and PX in London. Early adherents of the movement were often referred to by the press by such names as Blitz Kids, New Dandies and Romantic Rebels. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses.
