Bo Toresson
Bo Toresson (born 1939) is a Swedish social democrat politician who served as the secretary general of the Swedish Social Democratic Party between 1982 and 1992. He also served at the Parliament. Biography Toresson was born in Hunge, Bräcke municipality, in 1939. He started his career as a forest worker. He joined the Swedish Social Democratic Party in 1956. He was among the speech writers for Prime Ministers Tage Erlander and Olof Palme. Next he served as a local editor of a regional newspaper based in Bräcke. The Swedish Social Democratic Party, formally the Swedish Social Democratic Workers' Party ( sv, Sveriges socialdemokratiska arbetareparti ; S/SAP), usually referred to as The Social Democrats ( sv, link=no, Socialdemokraterna ), is a social-democratic political party in Sweden. Founded in 1889, the SAP is the country's oldest and currently largest party. From the mid-1930s to the 1980s, the Social Democratic Party won more than 40% of the vote. Sten Andersson
Sten Sture Andersson (20 April 1923 – 16 September 2006) was a Swedish social democratic politician, who served as Minister for Foreign Affairs 1985–1991 and as President of the Nordic Council in 1994. He worked closely with Olof Palme, and became known internationally for his support of Palestinian independence. In November 2010 he was posthumously awarded the Star of Jerusalem, the highest Palestinian order, by Mahmoud Abbas. He was awarded the Illis quorum in 1995. Death Andersson died suddenly from a heart attack on 16 September 2006 in Stockholm. Mona Sahlin
Mona Ingeborg Sahlin ( born 9 March 1957) is a Swedish politician who was leader of the opposition and leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party from 2007 to 2011. Sahlin was a Member of Parliament, representing Stockholm County, from 1982 to 1996 and again from 2002 to 2011. She has also held ministerial posts in the Swedish government from 1990 to 1991, from 1994 to 1995 and from 1998 to 2006. Sahlin was elected as leader of the Social Democratic Party on 17 March 2007, succeeding Göran Persson who resigned as leader following the defeat in the 2006 general election. Tage Fritjof Erlander (; 13 June 1901 – 21 June 1985) was a Swedish politician who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1946 to 1969. He was the leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party and led the government for an uninterrupted tenure of 23 years, one of the longest in any democracy.
