"Stressed Out" is a song written and recorded by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots. It was released as a promotional single from their fourth studio album, ''Blurryface'' (2015). Produced by Mike Elizondo and recorded at studios in Los Angeles and London, it was released via Fueled by Ramen on April 28, 2015. The song later impacted contemporary hit radio stations as the album's fourth official single on November 10. Elizondo initially took issue with the nature of the song's lyrical content, but relaxed after lead vocalist and songwriter Tyler Joseph explained the larger album concept. Heavydirtysoul
"Heavydirtysoul" is a song by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots from their fourth studio album ''Blurryface'' (2015). It was written by vocalist Tyler Joseph, who derived some of its lyrics from a poem called "Street Poetry" which he had written and published three years earlier. The track was produced by American record producer Ricky Reed and recorded at Serenity West Recording in Hollywood, California. As the opening track of ''Blurryface'', "Heavydirtysoul" acts as the album's introduction, both musically and thematically. The song contains a self-referential statement where Joseph touches on the concept by candidly addressing its music with self-aware lyrics that give away his insecurities. "Heavydirtysoul" is an intense, aggressive track in which the duo mix and move between several music genres. The song features high-speed vocals as Joseph rotates from complex rapping to melodic singing to ''falsetto'' screaming over soulful drumming by Josh Dun. Lyricall ...

Lane Boy
"Lane Boy" is a song written and recorded by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots, for their fourth studio album, ''Blurryface''. "Lane Boy" was released on YouTube worldwide on May 4, 2015, being released as a single on Google Play Store on the same day. The music video was released on July 20, 2015. Background The direction of ''Blurryface'' elaborated on the lyrical theme Twenty One Pilots had honed by the arrival of their third album '' Vessel'', where primary discussion topics were feelings of self-doubt and insecurity as well as how to overcome them. They continued addressing these topics with their fourth studio album, but projected them onto the pressure to release a second consecutive hit album, including on single "Lane Boy." It both musically and lyrically scorns at the notion of staying in one's lane. Background "Tear in My Heart" is an ode dedicated to a loved one, with Tyler Joseph's wife Jenna being the inspiration behind the song. As an unabashed love song, "Tear in My Heart" finds Joseph's in a romantic prose as he writes for his wife Jenna. In particular, its bridge was based on Joseph's personal experience driving long hours back to Columbus, Ohio from a family vacation trip as his future-wife Jenna slept, which left him to deal with all the traffic. "Tear in My Heart" is about how Joseph's wife shocked him out of stasis. By talking about falling in love, it acts as a break from morbidity of which prevailed much of '' Blurryface''.  Composition "Tear in My Heart" is an uptempo pop song that runs for a duration of thre ...

Background "Fairly Local" served as the lead single of ''Blurryface'', and was an introductory track to the titular character. Its two verses are written to contradict each other almost word for word, creating a duality in Joseph's personality between himself and "Blurryface", represented in the second refrain through the use of a vocoder, a reprise of the original refrain with deepened pitch. Fueled By Ramen
Fueled by Ramen LLC is an American record label owned by Warner Music Group and distributed by 300 Elektra Entertainment. The label, founded in Gainesville, Florida in 1996, is now based in New York City. History John Janick conceived of the label while attending high school, but it was not until he enrolled at the University of Florida in Gainesville and teamed up with Less Than Jake drummer-lyricist Vinnie Fiorello that Fueled By Ramen became a reality. The name of the label was inspired by only being able to afford a diet of inexpensive instant ramen at the time, due to having invested most of their money into making records. Ramen's first major success came in 1998 with the self-titled EP from Jimmy Eat World, which enabled the label to buy its first office space in Tampa. Ramen early on partnered with the independent distribution arm of Warner, ADA; Warner's Lyor Cohen finally making a deal for Ramen that led Janick to say "We operate like an indie label that’s very small ...
