Blue Virgin Isles is a song written by Ted Gärdestad and Kenneth Gärdestad, and originally recorded with lyrics in English on the Ted Gärdestad album "Blue Virgin Isles", released October 1978. as well as appearing as a B-side for the 1979 single "Satellit". Recording it with lyrics in Swedish by Kenneth Gärdestad as ''Himlen är oskyldigt blå'', Ted Gärdestad released it as a single in 1993 charting at Svensktoppen for seven weeks between 18 September and 30 October 1993, peaking at 4th position. The song has also been recorded by Tommy Körberg. and by Yohio on his 2013 album Break the Border. Ted Arnbjörn Gärdestad (; 18 February 195622 June 1997) was a Swedish singer, songwriter, musician and actor known internationally as Ted. Gärdestad began his acting career in 1966 and began playing music in 1971, signing with Polar Music. Assigned with in-house producers Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, Gärdestad released his first single, "Hela världen runt," in late 1971 and worked closely with the four members of ABBA to create his debut album '' Undringar'' (1972). As Polar Music's best-selling solo artist (aside from ABBA), he continued to work with the group members throughout the 1970s, releasing three more albums '' Ted'' (1973), ''Upptåg'' (1974) and ''Franska Kort'' (1976), which were moderately successful. Sven-Bertil Gunnar Evert Taube (24 November 1934 – 11 November 2022) was a Swedish singer and actor. Internationally, he was perhaps better known for his acting career. Taube played Henrik Vanger in the film ''The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'', and the lead role in ''Puppet on a Chain''. Biography Born in Stockholm on 24 November 1934, he was the son of songwriter Evert Taube and sculptor Astri Taube. At age 14, Taube began playing guitar. While traveling throughout Europe, he developed an interest in folklore and folk music. He performed in concerts on Swedish radio while a student at the Royal Beskow School in Stockholm. Håkan Georg Hellström (; born 2 April 1974) is a Swedish musician. He made his breakthrough in Sweden in 2000 with the song "Känn ingen sorg för mig Göteborg" and the album with the same name. The original press was initially released on Sweden, 27 March 2013 with a limited number of tracks all sang in English. The Japanese edition was released in Japan on 15 May 2013 with all songs sang in Japanese and one exclusive track featuring Gackt.
