Bloor Homes Eastleigh Classic
The Bloor Homes Eastleigh Classic was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour. It was first played in 1984 and held annually until 1991. The tournament was played on the par–65 (34–31) municipal course Fleming Park GC, Eastleigh, Hampshire, England, which closed permanently in 2008. Jane Connachan recorded a 58 in the first round and Dale Reid recorded a 58 in the final round of the 1991 tournament, Ladies European Tour records as lowest rounds, as is Dale Reid's 1991 and Trish Johnson's 1990 72–hole raw score of 249. Eastleigh
Eastleigh is a town in Hampshire, England, between Southampton and Winchester. It is the largest town and the administrative seat of the Borough of Eastleigh, with a population of 24,011 at the 2011 census. Kitrina Douglas (born 6 September 1960) is an English ex- professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour. Douglas won the British Ladies Amateur in 1982 and played in the 1982 Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup team. She played professionally on the Ladies European Tour, where she won eight times and was a member of the 1992 European Solheim Cup team. Alison Nicholas
Alison Nicholas, (born 6 March 1962) is an English professional golfer. Amateur career Nicholas was born in Gibraltar. She was educated at the School of St Mary and St Anne (now Abbots Bromley School for Girls). She enjoyed a very successful amateur career in England. She started playing golf at the age of 17 and won the 1982 and 1983 Northern Girls Amateur Open. Nicholas was the 1983 British Amateur Stroke Play champion. In 1983, Nicholas won the Yorkshire Ladies County Championship. Professional career Nicholas turned professional in 1984 and joined the Ladies European Tour in the same year. She joined the LPGA Tour in 1989. Nicholas won the Women's British Open in 1987, when it was recognised as a major championship by the Ladies European Tour only, and the 1997 U.S. Women's Open. Dana Lofland Dormann (born September 16, 1967) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. She also played under her maiden name Dana Lofland and as Dana Lofland-Dormann. Lofland won the 1985 U.S. Girls' Junior and the 1985 Junior World Golf Championships (Girls 15–17). Dormann won twice on the LPGA Tour in 1992 and 1993. Dennise Hutton
Dennise Hutton (born 1960) is an Australian professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour. Career Hutton was introduced to golf at age 11 by her father who was greenkeeper/caretaker of the Glen Innes Golf Club in New England, New South Wales. She had success as an amateur and reached the final of the 1980 Australian Women's Amateur. Playing internationally for Australia, she won the 1981 Tasman Cup and the 1982 Queen Sirikit Cup in Sri Lanka with the national team. Hutton turned professional in 1986 and won the 1986 and 1987 Australian LPGA Championships before starting to play on the Ladies European Tour in 1987. Melissa McNamara
Melissa McNamara Luellen (born May 25, 1966) is the head women's golf coach for Auburn University, and a former American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Career McNamara was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She played college golf at the University of Tulsa where her mother, Dale, was the head coach and was a member of the Chi Omega fraternity. She helped her team win the 1988 NCAA Women's Division I Championship and she won the individual title. These titles were later vacated by the NCAA due to rules violations by the track and field team. McNamara turned professional in 1988 and played on the Futures Tour and Ladies European Tour in 1988 and 1989. She joined the LPGA Tour in 1990. She won once on the LPGA Tour in 1991. Catherine Rita Panton-Lewis (born 14 June 1955) is a Scottish professional golfer who was a founding member of the Ladies European Tour and won its first Order of Merit. Her father was John Panton, MBE, a professional golfer who played on three Ryder Cup teams. Panton was born in Bridge of Allan, Scotland. As an amateur, she won the British Ladies Amateur in 1976, winning 1-up over Alison Sheard. Later that year, she was a member of the Great Britain & Ireland Espirito Santo Trophy team.
