David Calabrese (born April 4, 1964), known professionally as Dr. Chud, is an American horror punk drummer best known for his work with the Misfits. Life and career Born in Lodi, New Jersey, Dr. Chud attended Lodi High School. His career began playing with Dan Kidney and the Pulsations for seven years (1987–1994). During the early 1990s, Dr. Chud did a lot of studio sessions with various artist, including Specific Ocean and Sardonica. He also recorded an album with Sacred Trash just before joining Kryst the Conqueror, which transformed itself into the newest incarnation of the Misfits Dr. Chud recorded three studio albums, a live album, and a few singles with the Misfits and is also credited as a songwriter and producer for the band. In addition to his work with the Misfits, Dr. Chud also played drums for Joey Ramone on the ''We Will Fall: A Tribute to Iggy Pop'' album, and Joey Ramone's only solo record ''Don't Worry About Me'' and also produced a recent Sardonica release ...

Web Of Dharma
Web of Dharma is a 2002 album by American pop punk/horror punk Graves, featuring ex-Misfits singer Michale Graves and drummer Dr. Chud. Demos and recording Demos for ''Web of Dharma'' were recorded in November 2001. These recordings were produced by Ron Gouldie at June 3 Studios in Los Angeles. The recording sessions for ''Web of Dharma'' occurred in April 2002 at Spin Studios in Long Island, New York. The album was produced by Dr. Chud and overdubbing sessions and final mixing took place in the "Creepy Attic", Dr. Chud's home studio. A special limited edition of the album was sold at the record release party. The number of copies pressed is still unknown. Seemingly the only difference between the limited edition and the regular edition, is the artwork on the CD itself. Limited edition CD artwork contains the Grave Diggers Union logo. Monster Mash
"Monster Mash" is a 1962 novelty song by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. The song was released as a single on Gary S. Paxton's Garpax Records label in August 1962 along with a full-length LP called ''The Original Monster Mash'', which contained several other monster-themed tunes. The "Monster Mash" single was number one on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart on October 20–27 of that year, just before Halloween. It has been a perennial Halloween favorite ever since. In 2021, nearly 60 years after its release, "Monster Mash" re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 37. Background Pickett was an aspiring actor who sang with a band called the Cordials at night while going to auditions during the day. ''Famous Monsters'' is the fifth studio album by the American punk rock band Misfits, released on October 5, 1999. It is the second in the post- Danzig era of the band, and the last album to feature Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, Michale Graves, and Dr. Chud, who would all quit the band in 2000. Album information The album's title is an allusion to the horror/sci-fi magazine ''Famous Monsters of Filmland'', from whom the Misfits borrow their classic logo font. Scream! (Misfits Song)
"Scream" is the ninth single by the horror punk band the Misfits, and the first single released from their 1999 album ''Famous Monsters''. The music video for the song was directed by George A. Romero, famous for his ''Living Dead'' series of zombie films. Background "Scream" was written in a parking lot in Seattle while the Misfits were on tour. The band had learned that director Wes Craven was interested in using Misfits songs for his film '' Wishmaster'', but instead they decided to submit a song for the upcoming ''Scream 2''. They recorded a demo version of the song at a studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Singer Michale Graves described this early version as having a Peter Murphy influence. The demo was submitted to Craven but was not used for the film. "Scream" was later re-recorded for the band's 1999 album ''Famous Monsters''. ''Evilive II'' (also known as ''Evillive'') is a 1998 live album by the American punk rock band Misfits. Featuring the "resurrected" Misfits lineup of vocalist Michale Graves, bassist Jerry Only, guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, and drummer Dr. Chud, the album was recorded between October 1997 and March 1998 at a number of concerts in the United States. The album was released on CD by Caroline Records on August 14, 1998, and was made exclusively available through the official Misfits' fan club, known as "the Fiend Club", and was also sold on tour. The CD has since gone out-of-print. The album's title is reminiscent of the title of the band's previous live album, ''Evilive'', which was released in 1987.
