"Bloodbuzz Ohio" is a single by indie rock band The National, from their fifth studio album, ''High Violet''. It is notable for Matt Berninger's baritone vocals. It was made available for download on the band's website on March 24, 2010. The song was also released on 7" vinyl (with the exclusive B-side "Sin-Eaters") on May 3, 2010. The cover art of this single is a work by artist Mark Fox, titled ''Jane Jacobs Understands The Beehive''. Julia Stone covered the song on her 2012 album, '' By the Horns''. Irish artist SOAK covered the song in 2019. Goose (American band) performed a version of the song on August 18, 2022 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The National (band)
The National is an American rock band of Cincinnati, Ohio natives, formed in Brooklyn, New York City in 1999. The band consists of Matt Berninger (vocals), twin brothers Aaron Dessner (guitar, piano, keyboards) and Bryce Dessner (guitar, piano, keyboards), as well as brothers Scott Devendorf (bass) and Bryan Devendorf (drums). Carin Besser is not a band member, but has written lyrics for the band alongside her husband, Berninger, since its 2007 album ''Boxer''. 4AD is a British record label owned by Beggars Group. It was founded in London under the name "Axis" (after the Hendrix album) by Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent in 1980 as an imprint of Beggars Banquet Records. The name was changed to 4AD after the release of the label's first four singles.
