Blood Orange (2016 Film)
''Blood Orange'' is a 2016 film noir directed by Toby Tobias and starring Iggy Pop as an ageing rock star (Bill) and Kacey Barnfield as his young wife (Isabelle). It is the first film in which Iggy Pop played a lead role, although he had had previously had cameo roles in several films. Plot In a stunning modern Spanish Villa lives Bill, an aging, half-blind rock star, with his young, very beautiful and sexually promiscuous wife Isabelle. Into their Ibizan paradise comes Lucas, an ex-lover looking for revenge. Lucas wants his inheritance back; he believes she stole it from him, but Isabelle will give him nothing. Bill asks Lucas to stay and to make peace with Isabelle, but really he has another agenda. Meanwhile, Lucas is already torn up inside with the desire for revenge, and when he sees how Isabelle is having one of her flings with David, their Spanish pool boy, he sees an opportunity to turn the tables and things spiral dangerously out of control. Film Noir
Film noir (; ) is a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize cynical attitudes and motivations. The 1940s and 1950s are generally regarded as the "classic period" of American ''film noir''. Toby Tobias
Dick “Toby” Tobias (February 12, 1932 – June 23, 1978) was an American stock car and sprint car racing driver from Lebanon, PA. He revolutionized the dirt track modified stock car class by producing a chassis constructed of tubular steel. Racing career Toby Tobias began his racing career in the early 1950's at the Hilltop Speedway in Pennsylvania. He then spent the majority of his career racing in the sprint and modified divisions competing at the renowned tracks of the northeast, including Nazareth Speedway PA, Reading Fairgrounds Speedway PA, and Flemington Speedway NJ. Tobias made just one appearances in the NASCAR Cup Series. In 1972, Tobias developed a workable homebuilt frame for his Modified that replaced the mid 50's Chevy frames rails that had been popular. James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, musician, songwriter and actor. Called the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Godfather of Punk", he was the vocalist and lyricist of proto-punk band The Stooges, who were formed in 1967 and have disbanded and reunited many times since.
