''Blood Bank'' is a 2009 EP by Bon Iver. It was released on January 20, 2009, and features four tracks, three of them recorded for the release. The EP is a follow-up to the band's award-winning debut album '' For Emma, Forever Ago'', self-released in 2007 by Bon Iver frontman and founder Justin Vernon, and re-released in 2008. Information The title track was written with the previous album but didn't "feel right" and was not released. "Woods" was sampled in Kanye West's single " Lost in the World" from his 2010 album ''My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'', and re-recorded as "Still" by Justin Vernon's side-project, Volcano Choir, for their debut album '' Unmap''. Bon Iver ( ) is an American indie folk band founded in 2006 by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon. Vernon released Bon Iver's debut album, ''For Emma, Forever Ago,'' independently in July 2007. The majority of the album was recorded while Vernon spent three months isolated in a cabin in western Wisconsin. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. ''Unmap'' is the debut studio album by the indie rock band Volcano Choir. It was recorded in the fall of 2008 in Fall Creek, Wisconsin and released on September 22, 2009 on Jagjaguwar. The album reached #92 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The album was reissued on April 7, 2015 exclusively through Newbury Comics. A limit of 500 vinyl copies were to be pressed but a communication error with the manufacturer led to an extra 250 copies of the reissue, amounting to a limited supply of 750 vinyl copies. Volcano Choir is an American indie rock band from Wisconsin, formed in 2005. It has released two albums, ''Unmap'' and ''Repave.'' History The band began as a collaboration between Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and members of Collections of Colonies of Bees.
