''Blondes'' is a studio album released in 1982 by folk musician John Stewart, former member of The Kingston Trio. The LP was released with slightly different track listings in the US and in Sweden. The liner notes of the US release states: :"This record is dedicated to John S. Stewart" The Swedish album was released on Polydor and is credited to "John Stewart with Chuck McDermott". The Swedish release contains remixes of all the songs from the US release except "Angeles" which is not included at all. John Stewart (musician)
John Coburn Stewart (September 5, 1939 – January 19, 2008) was an American songwriter and singer. He is known for his contributions to the American folk music movement of the 1960s while with the Kingston Trio (1961–1967) and as a popular music songwriter of the Monkees' No. 1 hit "Daydream Believer" and his own No. 5 hit "Gold" during a solo career spanning 40 years that included almost four dozen albums and more than 600 recorded songs. Early life Born in San Diego, Stewart was the son of horse trainer John S. Stewart and spent his childhood and adolescence in Southern California, living mostly in the cities of Pasadena and Claremont. The Kingston Trio
The Kingston Trio is an American folk and pop music group that helped launch the folk revival of the late 1950s to the late 1960s. The group started as a San Francisco Bay Area nightclub act with an original lineup of Dave Guard, Bob Shane, and Nick Reynolds. Chuck McDermott
Charles McDermott, better-known by his stage name Chuck McDermott, is an American singer, songwriter and lyricist with a side history in political activism. He is known for writing and contributing to a variety of vinyl record albums and Spotify albums, for contributing two songs to the soundtrack for the 1982 Canadian horror film '' The Rats'', and for his collaborations with musician John Stewart. Lindsey Adams Buckingham (born October 3, 1949) is an American musician and record producer, best known as the lead guitarist and male lead vocalist of the band Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987 and 1997 to 2018.
