Peter Blondeau (french: link=no, Pierre Blondeau; d. 1672) was a French moneyer and engineer who was appointed Engineer to the Royal Mint and was responsible for reintroducing milled coinage to England. He pioneered the process of stamping lettering onto the edge of coins. Patrick Blondeau (born 27 January 1968) is a French former professional footballer who played in Ligue 1 and the Premier League. He also made two appearances for the France national team. Career Born in Marseille, Blondeau began playing professional football with nearby FC Martigues in Ligue 2. He played for Jean Tigana for several years at AS Monaco. Pierre-Auguste-Louis Blondeau (15 October 1786 he given date is often 15 August 1784ref name="VoyageP18"> – 14 April 1863) was a 19th-century French composer, violinist, music theorist and historian. Biography Born in Paris the son of Jean-Claude Blondeau, violinist and composer, Blondeau was a pupil of Pierre Baillot. He won a mention at the Prix de Rome in 1807 and in 1808 was awarded the first Grand Prix of Rome in musical composition with his cantata ''Marie Stuart''. He resided at the Villa Medicis in Rome from 1809 to 1811. He composed religious works, including a ''Te Deum'' in honour of Napoléon, cantatas, a buffo opera, orchestral works and chamber music. His three string quartets based on piano sonatas by Beethoven (Nos. 1, 2, and 3) are still popular today. Gustav Jules Eugene Blondeau was an early pilot and went on to form Hewlett & Blondeau Limited, an aircraft manufacturer in the United Kingdom. He was born on 8 March 1871 in Tergnier, France, (a small town to the North East of Paris) and graduated from Farman Aircraft at Mourmelon in France on 10 July 1910, then joining the Gnome engine works. He later opened his own flying school at Brooklands, Surrey, (the famous motor racing circuit) where he met Hilda Hewlett.
