"Block Rockin' Beats" is a song by British big beat duo the Chemical Brothers. Released in March 1997 as the second single and opening track from their second studio album, '' Dig Your Own Hole'' (1997), it topped the UK Singles Chart and peaked at number 40 on the US ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart. It received a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. Two different edits of "Block Rockin' Beats" exist: the version found on ''Dig Your Own Hole'' has an intro, while the version released as a single begins with the bass line. The B-side "Morning Lemon" is also available on the second disc of the limited edition ''Singles 93–03''. '' Blender'' listed the song on number 346 on its ranking of "Greatest Songs Since You Were Born" in 2005. The Chemical Brothers are an English electronic music duo formed by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons in Manchester in 1989. They were pioneers (along with the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, the Crystal Method, and other acts) in bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture. After attracting Virgin Records, the duo achieved further success with second album ''Dig Your Own Hole'' (1997), which topped the UK Albums Chart, UK charts. In the UK, they have had six No. 1 albums and 13 top-20 singles, including two chart-toppers. ''Singles 93–03'' is a compilation album by English electronic music duo The Chemical Brothers, released on 22 September 2003. It is a collection of singles from the duo between 1993 and 2003 (though not all the singles are included), plus two new songs " Get Yourself High" and " The Golden Path". Early copies of the CD came with a bonus CD. It was certified gold by the BPI on 24 October 2003. "Otter Rock", which is featured on the bonus disc as a previously unreleased song, also appears on ''The Big Noise'' (a charity CD released in ''The Guardian'' for Oxfam). Singles " The Golden Path" was released on 15 September 2003 as the first single from the album. It reached number 17 in the UK charts. WhoSampled is a website and app database of information about sampled music or sample-based music, cover songs and remixes. History Nadav Poraz founded the site in London, England in 2008, as a way to track musical samples and cover songs. Mobile apps were released in 2012 and 2014 for iPhone and Android, respectively. The website's database is user-generated and reviewed by moderators before the content goes live. As of 2022, the site's most sampled track is the Amen break from the Winstons. In 2015, the site added support for film and television clips. The following year, it partnered with Spotify and introduced a six degrees of separation-inspired game that tracks relationships between artists, producers, and their tracks. The Crusaders (formerly known as The Jazz Crusaders) were an American jazz group that was successful from the 1960s to the 1990s. The group was known as the Jazz Crusaders from their formation in 1960 until shortening their name in 1971.
