Its seat is the village of Warlubie, which lies approximately north-east of Świecie, north of Toruń, and north-east of Bydgoszcz. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 6,473. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Wda Landscape Park.
