Bling (Blackpool Pleasure Beach)
Bling was an amusement ride located within Blackpool Pleasure Beach in Lancashire, North West England themed to the movie with the same name. The "Star Shape" ride was built by German company Zierer in 2004, the second of three to have been built to date (the first and third being on the travelling fair circuit in Germany and the UK respectively). Bling was one of the newest additions to Pleasure Beach and was situated at the far end of the park adjacent to Burger King. It was the park's fourth tallest ride after the Pepsi Max Big One, Ice Blast and Infusion. The ride had a minimum height requirement of 4 ft 0 in (122 cm) and a maximum height requirement of 6 ft 5 in (196 cm). Six 'gondolas' which each seat five people reach a height of 100 ft (30 m) and spin in three different directions at speeds of up to 60 mph (97 km/h). Pepsi Max Big One
The Big One, formerly known as the Pepsi Max Big One, is a steel roller coaster located at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in Blackpool, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Designed by Ron Toomer and manufactured by Arrow Dynamics, the ride opened to the public on 28 May 1994 as the tallest and steepest roller coaster in the world. It held the record until July 1996, when Fujiyama opened at Fuji-Q Highland in Japan. The ride is currently the tallest roller coaster in the United Kingdom. Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is an amusement park situated on Blackpool's South Shore, in the county of Lancashire, North West England. It operates as a secure facility, and has introduced epayments via smartphones for admission charges, replacing wristbands and Pleasure Beach Passes, and removing the need to attend the Ticket Centre. The park was founded in 1896 by A. W. G. Bean and his partner John Outhwaite and has been family owned and operated since its inception. The current managing director is Bean's great-granddaughter Amanda Thompson. The park is host to many records, including the largest collection of wooden roller coasters of any park in the United Kingdom with four: the Big Dipper, Blue Flyer, Grand National and Nickelodeon Streak. Zierer Karussell- und Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG (Short name: Zierer ) is a German company located close to Deggendorf. Zierer manufactures Tivoli and Force line of roller coasters, as well as panoramic wheels, wave swingers, flying carpets, ''Hexentanz'', and ''Kontiki'' rides. Infusion (roller Coaster)
Infusion is an inverted steel roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Lancashire, England. It is a 689m standard "Mark 3" model Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster (SLC) and the first to be suspended entirely over water. History Infusion was relocated from Pleasureland Southport, Blackpool Pleasure Beach's sister park, where it was known as "Traumatizer". The attraction first opened at its original location in 1999. When Pleasureland closed in 2006, the ride was moved to Pleasure Beach, where it has operated since 2007. The original ride featured a red track with teal supports; however, the track has since been repainted blue. The ride cost a total of £8 million to construct.
