Jimmy Blewett
James Robert Blewett (born August 26, 1980) is a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour driver. He is the younger brother of the late John Blewett III. Early career At 14 years of age, Blewett started racing karts at New Egypt Speedway and Flemington Speedway. At 18, he moved up into a Pro Stock (Now Sportsman) race car at Wall Township Speedway. The following year he moved up a class again, this time into Modifieds. His car displayed the number 76, the same number that had belonged to his father, John Jr. His first win in modifieds came seven days before his 20th birthday. 2001: Showtime Mania Blewett's racing started at a high note, by winning Opening Night at Wall, that placed him on top of the points. John Blewett III
John Richard Blewett III (October 25, 1973 – August 16, 2007) was a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour driver. Career Blewett started racing go karts at the age of 10. In 1996, at age 22, he won the coveted NASCAR's Northeast Regional Championship, falling only a few points shy of the National Title. During his career he recorded 97 wins between 1993 and 2007, including track championships at Flemington Speedway, Wall Township Speedway, New Egypt, as well as New Hampshire. In 2006, he was honored during the motorsports show in Atlantic City as the northeast's Winningest Pavement Driver, for that year, as tallied by Area Auto Racing News. Scott Thomas Blewett (born April 10, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals. Amateur career Blewett attended Charles W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, New York. He committed to play college baseball at St. John's University. Joan Carol Warnow-Blewett (née Nelson) (December 11, 1931 – May 30, 2006) was an American archivist and staff member of the American Institute of Physics (AIP) for 32 years. Early life Warnow-Blewett was born to parents David Nelson and Edith Nelson (née Sjölander), American immigrants who were born in Sweden. Career In 1965, Warnow-Blewett was hired at American Institute of Physics (AIP) as Librarian of the Niels Bohr Library. Neal Blewett, AC (born 24 October 1933) is an Australian Labor Party politician and diplomat. He was the Member of the House of Representatives for Bonython from 1977 to 1994. He served in both the Hawke and Keating Governments, notably in the former as Minister for Health from 1983 to 1991, during which time he oversaw the Government's reaction to HIV/AIDS. Hildred Blewett
Myrtle Hildred Blewett (born Myrtle Hildred Hunt; 28 May 1911 – 13 June 2004) was a Canadian accelerator physicist. Early life and education Blewett was born on 28 May 1911 in Toronto, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Toronto in 1935 with a BA in physics and mathematics. In 1938, Blewett joined Cornell University as a graduate student, with Hans Bethe as her thesis supervisor. Career Blewett started her career at General Electric, where she devised a technique for controlling smoke pollution from factory chimneys in the 1940s. She and her husband John Blewett were part of the initial team at Brookhaven National Laboratory. She then worked at Argonne National Laboratory before joining CERN in 1969. Jean McKishnie Blewett (pen name, Katherine Kent; 4 November 1862 – 19 August 1934) was a Canadian journalist, author and poet. Biography Blewett was born Janet McKinshie in Scotia, Kent County, Ontario in 1862 to Scottish immigrants (some sources say 1872). Eve Brodlique was her cousin. She attended St. Thomas Collegiate and in 1879, married Bassett Blewett and published her first novel, ''Out of the Depths''. Mary H. Blewett (born 1938) is an author and academic specializing in American social history, women's history, and labor history. She is an emeritus professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, having retired in 1999 after 36 years.
