Bleed Like Me Tour
The Bleed Like Me Tour was the fourth world concert tour cycle by American/Scottish alternative rock group Garbage. The tour launched in Paris, France and took the band throughout North America, Europe and Australia in support of the band's fourth studio album ''Bleed Like Me'' which was released internationally in April 2005. The tour took in combinations of headline performances, slots on the bills at rock festivals, television and radio shows. After being initially organised low-key, the tour snowballed into bigger venues when the parent album and its lead single " Why Do You Love Me" became surprise hits internationally. The tour concluded in Perth, Western Australia after six months on the road; when the tour leg of dates in France, Belgium and United Kingdom were cancelled. Matt Walker (drummer)
Matt Walker is an American session musician, known for drumming with Filter, The Smashing Pumpkins and Morrissey, as well as being the regular fill-in to Butch Vig from Garbage on three of their tours (2002, 2016, 2019). Biography Walker began his career in Chicago in the mid-1980s, when he began playing drums for the Chicago bands Scott Bennett & The Obvious, The Clinic, Brad Peterson and Peat Moss and Tribal Opera until joining the band Filter in 1994. Matt toured with Filter in support of the album, '' Short Bus'' until 1996. Filter toured with The Smashing Pumpkins in Europe and when Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was fired after a heroin overdose, Walker was hired to replace Chamberlin. He finished the ''Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'' tour with the band (1996–1997) and all of their dates up until the beginning of the '' Adore'' tour. Johnny Cash
John R. Cash (born J. R. Cash; February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003) was an American country singer-songwriter. Much of Cash's music contained themes of sorrow, moral tribulation, and redemption, especially in the later stages of his career. Merrill Nisker (born 11 November 1966), better known by her stage name Peaches, is a Canadian electroclash musician and producer. Born in Ontario, Peaches began her musical career in the 1990s as part of a folk trio, Mermaid Cafe. In 1995, she established a rock band, the Shit. That year she also released her first solo album, ''Fancypants Hoodlum''. After moving to Berlin, Germany, she was signed to the Kitty-Yo label and released her second album, '' The Teaches of Peaches'' (2000). theStart (stylized as theSTART) is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Their current lineup includes Aimee Echo, Jamie Miller, Erick Sanger and Chelsea Davis. History Aimee Echo and Jamie Miller formed the band in 1998, originally named Hero. They changed it to theStart because "Hero" was already being used by another band. Red Jezebel is a four-piece indie rock band from Perth, Western Australia. History 1997-2002: Early EPs The band competed in the Western Australia final of the Australian National Campus Band Competition at the Planet Nightclub in North Perth in 1997. Eskimo Joe won and went on to win the national final, while Red Jezebel came fourth. The band's name comes from an emergency evacuation codeword used by an Australian supermarket chain that a number of the members worked for in the group's early years. Between 1998 and 2000, the band released three EPs: ''Joyful Possibilities'', ''In Transit'' and ''Intermezzo''. Los Abandoned
Los Abandoned were an American alternative rock band from the Los Angeles, California area. The band's lyrics were in Spanish and English, or a combination of the two known as Spanglish. Their biggest hits were "Panic-oh!," "Van Nuys (es Very Nice)," and "Stalk U." They released two EPs and one LP, and in 2005, were signed with Neil Young's Vapor Records. The band performed with artists such as Zoé, Café Tacuba, The Breeders, Calexico, Julieta Venegas, Molotov, and Aterciopelados, and participated in the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. In 2005 they participated in the Latin Alternative Music Conference on the Santa Monica Pier, along with Ely Guerra and Andrea Echeverri. The Dead 60's
The Dead 60s were an English ska punk band from Liverpool. The band's sound is a mixture of punk rock, ska, dub and reggae. They have taken influences from artists such as King Tubby, Jackie Mittoo, Gang of Four and A Certain Ratio. History Matt McManamon and Charlie Turner formed a band during their teenage years under the name 'Rest Home'. They changed their name to 'Pinhole' and released the 4-track "122 Duke Street" EP (named after the address of Liverpool bar The Pit, where the band played many of its first shows).
