Blažo Lisičić
Blažo Lisičić (born 22 August 1972) is a Montenegrin former handball player. Club career Born in Titograd, Lisičić was signed by Proleter Zrenjanin as a teenager. He would become a member of the team that won two Yugoslav Championship titles and reached the European Cup final in the 1990–91 season. Between 1993 and 1996, Lisičić played for Belgrade arch-rivals Crvena zvezda and Partizan. In 1996, Lisičić moved abroad to Spain and signed with Pozoblanco. He spent one season with the Liga ASOBAL club, but failed to help them avoid relegation. From 1997 to 2002, Lisičić played for three teams in Germany, namely TV Niederwürzbach, HSG Dutenhofen/Münchholzhausen, and GWD Minden. Later on, Lisičić would also spend some time in Italy (Conversano and Casarano), Qatar (Al Sadd), and Croatia (Zagreb). Podgorica (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Подгорица, ; Literal translation, lit. 'under the hill') is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The Yugoslav Handball Championship was the highest level competition in men's team handball in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, played regularly for almost four decades between 1953 and 1992, before being abandoned due to the breakup of Yugoslavia. History The first five editions from 1953 to 1957 were decided via a finals play-off tournament contested by clubs who had qualified in regional competitions, before a regular round-robin league format was introduced for the 1957–58 season. The Montenegrin Men's Handball Cup ( Montenegrin: Rukometni Kup Crne Gore) is an elimination handball tournament held annually. It is the second most important national title in Montenegrin handball after the Montenegrin First League. It has been held annually since Montenegrin independence in 2006. Croatian Handball Premier League
The Croatian Handball Premier League ( hr, Hrvatska rukometna premijer liga) is the highest men's team handball, handball league in Croatia. It is organized by the Croatian Handball Federation (''Hrvatski rukometni savez''). The league comprises 16 teams. The league was formed in 1991 with the dissolution of the Yugoslav leagues. Format In the first phase, eight teams from two groups compete in a home-and-away round-robin series. All teams advance from the regular season to one of two postseason stages, depending on their league position. The top four teams from the regular season play in the Championship Round, while the bottom four teams play in the Relegation Round. The 2008 EHF European Men's Handball Championship (8th tournament) was held in Norway from 17 to 27 January, in the cities of Bergen, Drammen, Lillehammer, Stavanger and Trondheim.
