''Blast'' is the debut solo album by the British musician Holly Johnson of Frankie Goes to Hollywood. It was released in 1989 and reached No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart and sold over 300,000 copies making it platinum. The album stayed on the charts for 17 weeks. The album features the hits "Love Train", "Americanos", "Atomic City" and "Heaven's Here". The album was re-released in November 2009 and again in November 2010. In 2010, Johnson marked "Love Will Come" and "Heaven's Here" as his favourite tracks from the album. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Guy Barker
Guy Jeffrey Barker, (born 26 December 1957) is an English jazz trumpeter and composer. Early life Barker was born in Chiswick, London, the son of an actress and a stuntman. He started playing the trumpet at the age of twelve, and within a year had joined the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. At the age of 15 he was playing with the Crouch End Allstars along with Wally Fawkes and Bob Nadkarni. Later life and career After lessons from Clark Terry in 1975, Barker went on in the 1980s to play with John Dankworth, Gil Evans (with whose orchestra he toured and recorded in 1983), Lena Horne, and Bobby Watson. Barker was a member of Clark Tracey's quintet from 1984 to 1992. Luís Jardim
Luís Alberto Figueira Gonçalves Jardim (born 4 July 1950) is a Portuguese percussionist, born in the Madeira Island, best known for his work with producer Trevor Horn. Family Jardim is a cousin of Alberto João Jardim (former president of the regional government of Madeira). His first wife was Linda Jardim (nee Allan), a successful session singer and lead vocal in the Buggles hit "Video Killed the Radio Star". They had two daughters together, Gabrielle and Rebecca. Chris Whitten
Chris Whitten (born 26 March 1959) is a British session drummer who provided drums for the hit singles "What I Am" by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, "World Shut Your Mouth" by Julian Cope and "The Whole of the Moon" by the Waterboys. Two notable projects that Whitten was the drummer for were Paul McCartney's ''Flowers in the Dirt'' album in 1989, and Dire Straits’ final world tour from 1991–1992 to accompany their last studio album, ''On Every Street''. Marius de Vries (born 1961) is an English music producer and composer. He has won a Grammy Award from four nominations, two BAFTA Awards, and an Ivor Novello Award. Brian Harold May (born 19 July 1947) is an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and astrophysicist, who achieved worldwide fame as the lead guitarist of the rock band Queen (band), Queen. Neil Taylor (born 26 January 1961) is an English guitarist, best known for his long-time affiliation with Robbie Williams and for formerly being a member of Tears for Fears. Career Taylor started playing in local bands in his youth before joining Neon (British band), Neon as a session musician in the early 1980s.
