Blame It On Rio
''Blame It on Rio'' is a 1984 American romantic comedy film directed by Stanley Donen and written by Charlie Peters and Larry Gelbart based on the 1977 French film ''Un moment d'égarement'', starring an ensemble cast led by Michael Caine, Joseph Bologna, Michelle Johnson, Valerie Harper, Demi Moore, and José Lewgoy. Plot Matthew Hollis is married to Karen, and father to teenage daughter, Nikki. Victor Lyons, Matthew's colleague and best friend, who is going through a divorce, is father to 17-year-old Jennifer. Stanley Donen
Stanley Donen ( ; April 13, 1924 – February 21, 2019) was an American film director and choreographer whose most celebrated works are '' On the Town,'' (1949) and ''Singin' in the Rain'' (1952), both of which he co-directed with Gene Kelly. His other films include ''Royal Wedding'' (1951), ''Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'' (1954), ''It's Always Fair Weather'' (1955), ''Funny Face'' (1957), '' Indiscreet'' (1958), and ''Charade'' (1963). Donen began his career in the chorus line on Broadway for director George Abbott, where he befriended Kelly. From 1943, he worked in Hollywood as a choreographer before collaborating with Kelly. After ''On the Town'', Donen worked as a contract director for MGM under producer Arthur Freed producing critically well-received box-office hits. Lupe Gigliotti
Lupe Gigliotti (1 July 1926 – 19 December 2010) was a Brazilian television, stage, and film actress. Gigliotti was born Maria Paula Viana Lupicina in Maranguape, Ceará, Brazil, on 1 July 1926. She was the sister of Brazilian actor and comedian Chico Anysio and the aunt of actor Marcos Palmeira. She began acting professionally during the 1960s, appearing in 11 films during her career. Sugarloaf Cable Car
The Sugarloaf Cable Car ( pt, Bondinho do Pão de Açúcar) is a cableway system in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The first part runs between Praia Vermelha and Morro da Urca (at ), from where the second rises to the summit of the Sugarloaf Mountain. The cableway was envisioned by the engineer Augusto Ferreira Ramos in 1908 who sought support from well-known figures of Rio's high society to promote its construction. Opened in 1912, it was only the third cableway to be built in the world. In 1972 the cars were updated, growing from a capacity of 22 to 75, and in 1979 it featured in an action scene for the James Bond film ''Moonraker (film), Moonraker''.
