Edmund Blampied (30 March 1886 – 26 August 1966) was one of the most eminent artists to come from the Channel Islands, yet he received no formal training in art until he was 15 years old. He was noted mostly for his etchings and drypoints published at the height of the print boom in the 1920s during the etching revival, but was also a Lithography, lithographer, Caricature, caricaturist, cartoonist, book illustrator and artist in oils, watercolours, silhouettes and bronze. Early years Edmund Blampied was born on a farm in the Parish of Saint Martin, Jersey in the Channel Islands on 30 March 1886, five days after the death of his father, John Blampied. Jamie Adenuga (born 4 May 1985), known professionally as Jme, is a British grime MC, songwriter, record producer and DJ who was born in Hackney, and raised in Tottenham. He is the co-founder of the crew and label Boy Better Know. He also serves as a sole owner and director of an associated company, ''Boy Better Know Limited'', which he incorporated in 2008. ''Barenaked Ladies Are Me'' is the seventh full-length original-material studio album by Barenaked Ladies. It was their first original-material album since ''Everything to Everyone'' in 2003. It was released in September 2006 internationally. The album was also the first full-length original-material album from the band following their decision to become independent rather than re-sign with Reprise. The cover art was created by a group of artists called Team Macho. The name has been cited by the band as a double entendre for "Barenaked Ladies Army". Due to the diversity and wealth of content recorded for the album, the release of the material from the ''Are Me'' sessions became more complicated than for earlier albums. Blam (Roy Lichtenstein)
''Blam'' (sometimes ''Blam!'') is a 1962 painting by Roy Lichtenstein falling within the pop art idiom. It is one of his military comic book derivatives and was one of the works presented at his first solo exhibition. The work is in the collection at the Yale University Art Gallery History The painting is based on Russ Heath's art in the comic book '' All-American Men of War'' issue #89 (January-February 1962), published by National Periodical Publications. The painting depicts a pilot ejecting from an exploding plane. The same issue was the inspiration for several other Lichtenstein paintings, ''Okay Hot-Shot, Okay!'', ''Brattata'', ''Whaam!'' and ''Tex!'' The graphite pencil sketch, '' Jet Pilot'' was also from that issue. When Lichtenstein had his first solo show at The Leo Castelli Gallery in February 1962, it sold out before opening.
