Bruce Blakeman
Bruce Arthur Blakeman (born October 2, 1955) is an American attorney and politician currently serving as the 10th County Executive of Nassau County, New York. He was elected in the 2021 election, defeating Democratic incumbent Laura Curran. He previously served as the commissioner for the New York-New Jersey Port Authority as well as a Nassau County legislator and Hempstead town councilman. Early life and education Blakeman was born in Valley Stream, New York. He attended Valley Stream Central High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and government from Arizona State University and a Juris Doctor from the California Western School of Law. Cletus W. Blakeman (born June 23, 1964) is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL). His uniform number is 34. He played college football at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Outside of his work as an NFL official, he is a partner and personal injury attorney in the law firm of Carlson Blakeman LLP in Omaha, Nebraska. Rev. Adam Blakeman (10 June 1596 – 7 September 1665) was an English Church of England clergyman who was an early migrant to New England and a founder of Stratford, Connecticut. Blakeman was born in Gnosall, Staffordshire, England on 10 June 1596. His birthplace is frequently misspelled in websites due to transcription errors from old records.
