Blake Evans
Blake Evans (born July 2, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre, who last played for Kyle Elks in the SVHL. Draft Born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Evans was drafted 251st overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft but never played in the National Hockey League. Career Early career He started his career with the WHL team Spokane Chiefs in 1996. After one and a half season, he was traded to the Tri-City Americans (also in the WHL) along with Regan Darby for Zenith Komarniski on 6 October 1997. On 8 January 2001, he got traded to Regina Pats (WHL) along with Jeff Feniak for Shawn Belle, Joey Bastien, Justin Lucyshyn and future considerations. Worcester IceCats
The Worcester IceCats were a US ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Worcester, Massachusetts, at the Worcester Centrum. In 2005 the team was renamed the Peoria Rivermen and moved to Peoria, Illinois. History The IceCats got their start when original New York Islanders owner Roy Boe purchased the Springfield Indians AHL franchise and moved it to Worcester in the summer of 1994. The team began play in the Fall of 1994 with a collection of free-agent players but as yet with no National Hockey League team affiliation. Late in the 1994–95 season, Boe and head coach/General Manager Jim Roberts negotiated a deal with the St. Louis Blues. From that point on the IceCats would be the Blues' premier minor league team. Spokane Chiefs
The Spokane Chiefs are a major junior ice hockey team that plays in the Western Hockey League based out of Spokane, Washington. The team plays its home games at the Spokane Arena. Their uniforms are similar to those of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. Spokane consistently ranks in the top 10 in the Canadian Hockey League in attendance. The Chiefs won the Memorial Cup in 1991 and 2008. They also hosted the first outdoor hockey game in WHL history on January 15, 2011, at Avista Stadium versus the Kootenay Ice. Regan Kelly (born 9 March 1981) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Kelly was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan, and raised in Imperial, Saskatchewan. Shawn James Robert Belle (born January 3, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers and the Colorado Avalanche. Playing career As a youth, Belle played in the 1998 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Edmonton. Belle was a highly touted prospect playing for the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL) when he was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 1st round, 30th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
