Blahalouisiana (album)
Blahalouisiana are a Hungarian indie, Hungarian indie-pop/beat-rock/pop-rock band from Székesfehérvár, Hungary. It consists of vocalist Barbara Schoblocher, lead guitarist András Szajkó, bassist Gábor Jancsó, guitarist László Mózner, drummer Ádám Juhász and keyboardist Máté Pénzes. They released their first self-titled studio album in 2016 after gaining audience in the summer festival season in 2015. As of February 2023, the band released 22 music videos, 4 studio albums and 2 EPs. Its name refers to Hungarian actress and singer Blaha Lujza (1850-1926). Formation, early years (2012-13) Two members, Barbara and Gábor first met in university in 2012. In one week, the current formation (without keyboardist Máté Pénzes) was together. The first started writing songs in English. Their first single, The Wanderer (Blahalouisiana song), The Wanderer led the local charts for 3 weeks. Székesfehérvár
Székesfehérvár (; german: Stuhlweißenburg ), known colloquially as Fehérvár ("white castle"), is a city in central Hungary, and the country's ninth-largest city. Budapest indie music scene was the indie music scene of Budapest, Hungary in the 2000s. It was often associated with bands like Amber Smith, The Moog, EZ Basic and We Are Rockstars. History Beginnings The early 2000s was the revival of the indie music scene all over the world, which affected Hungary as well. One of the earliest Hungarian band playing indie rock were The Puzzle from Kaposvár. They were the first band whose record, entitled ''Dream Your Life'', was released by an international label, PolyGram in 2000. Successes On 10 March 2006, Amber Smith's third studio album, ''RePRINT'', was released by the German Kalinkaland Records. Ivan & The Parazol are a Hungarian indie- garage rock band based in Budapest, Hungary. The band incorporates influences from the 1960s and the 1970s. The band have played hundreds of gigs mainly all over Hungary with Heaven Street Seven and several shows in Europe or in The United States. The band's first hit was ''Take My Hand'', which was a number one song for 10 weeks on the Hungarian national radio station, MR2 Petőfi Rádió.
