Blacktown City Football Club is an Australian semi-professional football club based in Blacktown, New South Wales. Founded in 1953, the club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues NSW. Blacktown City's home ground is Blacktown City Sports Centre in the suburb of Seven Hills. History The club was formed in 1953 as Toongabbie Soccer Club and changed their name to Blacktown City in 1979. The club competed in the National Soccer League in 1980, 1981, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1990. Since then they have competed in the highest level in New South Wales, the NSW Premier League, where they have finished Premiers (1st in the League) in 2001, 2002/03, 2004/05, 2006 and 2008. The Blacktown City Demons took out the double in 2007 winning both the Premiership and then staging a comeback from 1–1 with ten men to defeat Bankstown City 3–1 and claim the Championship. Darren Stewart (17 May 1966 – 18 October 2018) was an Australian football (soccer), association football player. He was an Australia national football team player and was named Australian Player of the Year in 1993. Travis Paul Major (born 18 February 1990) is an Australian professional footballer player. He plays as a forward for National Premier Leagues NSW club Blacktown City. Career On 3 January 2015, he signed for A-League side Central Coast Mariners. He scored his first and only goal in a 5–1 defeat to Sydney FC. Tyler Simpson
Tyler John Simpson (28 August 198526 May 2011) was an Australian football (soccer) player who played as a central defender or right back. He was the twin of fellow footballer Jordan Simpson (Australian footballer), Jordan Simpson. Career Simpson played in the NSW Premier League with Blacktown City Demons, APIA Leichhardt Tigers, APIA Leichhardt and Sydney Olympic. Chad Gibson (born 19 June 1976) is a former professional footballer. Adam Biddle (born 27 July 1988 in Sydney, Australia) is a former Australian footballer who played for Sydney FC and Bankstown City.
