Blacksville, Georgia
Blacksville is an unincorporated community in Henry County, Georgia, United States. At the 2000 census it was recorded as a census-designated place (CDP), with a population of four. It was no longer a CDP at the 2010 census. Blacksville is named after the Black family of McDonough, Georgia, their family were one of the early pioneers to move to the village of McDonough where Blacksville is now located today. The segregation-era black high school for Henry County was in Blacksville and is now used as Henry County Middle School. Most of the community was subsequently annexed by nearby McDonough. Georgia 401
Interstate 75 (I-75) in the US state of Georgia travels north–south along the U.S. Route 41 (US 41) corridor in the central part of the state, traveling through the cities of Valdosta, Macon, and Atlanta. It is also designated—but not signed—as State Route 401 (SR 401). I-75 is the only Interstate to traverse the full length of the state from north to south. In Downtown Atlanta, I-75 joins with I-85 as the Downtown Connector. The segment from SR 49 in Byron to I-16 in Macon is part of the Fall Line Freeway and may be incorporated into the eastern extension of I-14, which is currently entirely within Central Texas and is proposed to be extended to Augusta. State Route 155 (SR 155) is a state highway that travels south-to-north through portions of Spalding, Henry, Rockdale, and DeKalb counties in the north-central part of the U.S. state of Georgia. Route description Spalding County SR 155 begins at an intersection with US 19/ US 41/ SR 3/ SR 7 south of Griffin, in Spalding County. State Route 81 (SR 81) is a diagonal state highway that travels southwest-to-northeast in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Georgia. Its path exists within portions of Henry, Newton, Walton, and Barrow counties. It connects the McDonough area with Winder, via Covington and Loganville.
