Blackmill (musician)
Robert Card, better known by his stage name Blackmill, is a British electronic music producer. His music has been described as melodic dubstep / chillstep. Card was born in the Scottish Highlands and started playing a guitar which he got for his birthday at age 8. At the age of 15, he began producing trance music under the name Robert J.C. He started producing dubstep as a response to its growth in 2010. His remix of Ellie Goulding's "Your Song" placed number one on the music blog aggregator Hype Machine in the early 2010s. During 2011, he released his debut album ''Reach for Glory'', as well as another album, titled ''Miracle''. In 2017, he worked with Scottish folk singer John Edge to release the song "Emerald City". In 2021, he released ''Home'', his comeback album. Carrbridge
Carrbridge ( sco, Carrbrig, gd, Drochaid Chàrr) is a village in Badenoch and Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands. It lies off the A9 on the A938, west of Skye of Curr and southeast of Tomatin, near Bogroy. It has the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands and the nearby ancient pine forest contains the Landmark Forest Adventure Park. Geography Carrbridge is about north of Aviemore and forms a gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. It was an early centre for skiing in Scotland. In the 2001 census the village had a population of 708 people, with the majority employed in tourism. Until the construction of a bypass in the 1980s, the A9 ran straight through the village. Carrbridge is served by Carrbridge railway station on the Highland Main Line. Local debate still rages regarding the name Carrbridge itself, with some preferring to see it hyphenated to ''Carr-bridge''. John Edge (singer)
Sir John Edge (28 July 1841 – 30 July 1926) was Chief Justice in the Allahabad High Court, India, during the British Raj era. A member of the Middle Temple, of which he acted for some time as treasurer, he was also appointed a judicial member of the Council of India and a member of the Privy Council. Early life John Edge was the only child of Benjamin Booker Edge and his wife, Esther Anne. He was born on 28 July 1841 in Queen's County, Ireland (now County Laois). His family claimed a Saxon origin and had been in Ireland since the Stuart period. Edge was privately educated prior to attending Trinity College Dublin between 1858 and 1861. He was awarded both B.A. and LL.B. degrees from that institution and was called to the Irish bar in 1864 as a member of the King's Inns in Dublin.
