Black President (band)
Black President is an American punk rock band. It was formed in 2005 by Circle Jerks/Bad Religion guitarist Greg Hetson and Goldfinger guitarist Charlie Paulson. History The band was originally formed in late 2005 by Hetson and Paulson, who were joined by Jason Christopher (New Dead Radio) on bass and vocals, Roy Mayorga (Nausea) on drums, and Christian Martucci (The Strychnine Babies, Dee Dee Ramone) on vocals. Mayorga was unable to commit to the band due to previous commitments with Stone Sour. He was temporarily replaced by Wade Youman (Unwritten Law), and later by Ty Smith (Guttermouth, Bullets and Octane). Mayorga returned in time to record the debut album and has been permanently replaced by Dave Raun of Lagwagon. Since forming, the band has toured with Bad Brains, Guttermouth, the Germs, Suicidal Tendencies, and The Bouncing Souls and performed stints on the 2008 Warped Tour as well as Riot Fest 2008. Christian Martucci (born June 5, 1977) is an Italian American guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. He is a dual citizen of Italy and the United States. As of 2013, he is the lead guitar player for the American hard rock band Stone Sour and from January 1, 2019 Black Star Riders. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is a founding member of Thousand Watt Stare, Black President, the Strychnine Babies and the Chelsea Smiles. He was Dee Dee Ramone's guitarist from late 1999 to 2002 and appeared as "Chris the Creep" in Ramones's last book, ''Legend of a Rock Star, A Memoir: The Last Testament of Dee Dee Ramone''. In recent years, he has become more known for performances with ( Slipknot and Stone Sour) frontman Corey Taylor and as a touring guitarist for Stone Sour. Prong is an American heavy metal band formed in New York City in 1986. The band is fronted by guitarist/vocalist Tommy Victor, Prong's sole constant member. To date, they have released 12 studio albums (including a covers album), one live album, four EPs, one DVD and one remix album. Prong had two independent releases, '' Primitive Origins'' (1987) and ''Force Fed'' (1989), which attracted the attention of Epic Records, who signed the band in 1989. Their first two albums on Epic, ''Beg to Differ'' (1990) and '' Prove You Wrong'' (1991), were released to critical acclaim and garnered attention on MTV's ''Headbangers Ball''. Roy Mayorga
Roy Mayorga (born April 6, 1970) is an American musician, best known as the drummer of heavy metal bands Hellyeah and Stone Sour and is currently the drummer for the industrial metal band Ministry. Early life Mayorga was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City, on April 6, 1970, to Cuban and Ecuadorian parents. At four years old, his family moved to Florida. While growing up, his parents would often play Motown music and rhythm and blues, which were his earliest exposures to music. He eventually became a fan of Kiss through his older brother, which led him to become interested in rock music. He began playing drums at six years old. His parents soon divorced, leading to him moving to Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he became involved in the local punk rock scene.
