Black P. Stones (Jungles)
Black P. Stones Jungles is a division ("set") of the Bloods street gang in some parts of Los Angeles. Overview History The Black P Stones Jungles first emerged in California in 1969 and had operated in the West Adams area of Los Angeles. Over the years the P Stones had grown into one of the larger gangs that were in South Los Angeles. There were an estimated 700 members of the Black P Stones, of whom used to live in Baldwin Village. Territory The BPS consisted of two separate gangs: The City Stone Bloods, also known as the "bity" in the Mid-City/ Arlington Heights area, and the Jungle Stone Bloods, the exclusive area that was once known as the Jungles (during the 1960s to the early 2000s) now officially known as Baldwin Village, Los Angeles on the West Side of South Central Los Angeles, saw 28 murders and more than 1,500 assaults from 2000 to 2005. Bloods
The Bloods are a primarily African-American street gang founded in Los Angeles, California. The gang is widely known for its rivalry with the Crips. It is identified by the red color worn by its members and by particular gang symbols, including distinctive hand signs. The Bloods comprise various subgroups known as "sets", among which significant differences exist, such as colors, clothing, operations, and political ideas that may be in open conflict with each other. Since the gang's creation, it has branched throughout the United States. History The Bloods gang was formed initially to compete against the influence of the Crips in Los Angeles. Cle Shaheed Sloan
Cle "Bone" Shaheed Sloan (born May 22, 1969) is an American activist, actor and documentary director from Los Angeles County, California. While still a member of Athens Park Bloods, a Los Angeles street gang, Sloan worked to reform gang culture to put an end to gang violence from the inside. Career Sloan was introduced to the film industry by football legend Jim Brown, who helped him secure a job as an assistant when he was released from prison. The job allowed Sloan to meet director Antoine Fuqua and sparked his interest in becoming a cinematographer. Sloan has since appeared in small roles in three of Fuqua's hit movies ''Training Day'', ''Tears of the Sun'', and ''Brooklyn's Finest''. During the production of ''Training Day'', Sloan worked as a gang adviser and helped persuade actual gang members to lend their credibility to the project on-screen. People Nation is an alliance of street gangs generally associated with the Chicago area. They are rivals of the Folk Nation alliance of gangs. Formation The People Nation was formed in reaction to the creation of the Folk Nation alliance of gangs. In 1978, the El Rukn (now Black P. "Hard in da Paint" is the second single from American rapper Waka Flocka Flame's debut studio album ''Flockaveli''. Background Waka Flocka's "Hard in da Paint", like his previous hit "O Let's Do It", was originally a mixtape track. It first appeared on his fourth mixtape titled ''LeBron Flocka James'', released on October 17, 2009. An early remix featuring French Montana was released on April 19, 2010, and appeared in the latter's ninth mixtape titled ''Mac & Cheese 2'', released on May 6. The track was produced by up-and-coming producer Lex Luger, and went on to become an underground hit before being released as a commercial single on May 13.
