''Black Friday'' is the sixth studio album by British singer-songwriter Tom Odell. It was released on 26 January 2024 through UROK Management. The title track ''Black Friday'' was nominated for the Best Song Musically and Lyrically Ivor Novello Award on Thursday 23 May 2024. Background Recording took place at Odell's studio in London, mainly consisting of him "just sitting on the sofa" with his guitar and recording vocals in order to "capture" what they were trying to capture since other methods did not work. Thomas Peter Odell (born 24 November 1990) is an English singer-songwriter. He released his debut extended play, ''Songs from Another Love'', in 2012. It won the 2013 BRIT Awards, BRITs Critics' Choice Award in early 2013. Odell's debut studio album, ''Long Way Down (Tom Odell album), Long Way Down'', was issued on 24 June 2013. Three years later, his follow-up studio album, ''Wrong Crowd (album), Wrong Crowd'', was released, on 10 June 2016.
