National Security Service (Maldives)
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF; dv, ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ޤައުމީ ދިފާއީ ބާރު, translit=Dhivehi Raajjeyge Qaumee Dhifaaee Baaru) is the combined security organisation responsible for defending the security and sovereignty of the Maldives. Ilyas Ibrahim
Ilyas Ibrahim ( Dhivehi: އިލްޔާސް އިބްރާހިމް ) (born December 18, 1945) is the brother-in-law of the former President of the Maldives Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. He was a minister in Maumoon's cabinet for a long time and served as an MP for the capital city Malé from 1980 to 1995. He also served as the MP for Laamu Atoll, & a member of People's Special Majilis, from 2003 to 2008. He was also the Minister of State for Defence, Minister of Home Affairs of Maldives and the head of State Trading Organization (STO) & Airports Company of the Maldives. Violence
Violence is the use of physical force so as to injure, abuse, damage, or destroy. Resignation

Maafushi Prison
Maafushi Prison is a prison in Maafushi on Kaafu Atoll in the Maldives, south of the capital, Malé. It is the largest prison on the islands and has held numerous political prisoners over the years, including the former president, Mohamed Nasheed and former president Abdulla Yameen. History In September 2003, an uprising broke out at the prison, which resulted in the deaths of inmates Hassan Evan Naseem and Abdulla Amin. 12 others were taken to Sri Lanka for injuries, and another, Ali Aalaam, later died. The beating of the 19-year-old Naseem to death during the uprising caused a public outcry, and resulted in riots in Malé after his family displayed his disfigured body to the locals. Abdullah Hameed
Abdulla Hameed (c.1939 - 18 August 2015) was a Maldivian politician. He was the Minister of Atolls during the administration of his brother Maumoon Abdul Gayoom. Hameed was the Speaker of the Majlis from 1988 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 2004. Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom ( dv, ޢަބްދުﷲ ޔާމީން ޢަބްދުލް ޤައްޔޫމް; born 21 May 1959) is a Maldivian politician who was President of the Maldives from 2013 to 2018. He left office on 17 November 2018 following his defeat in the 2018 presidential election, in which he sought to win a second 5-year term. Naushad Waheed
Naushad Waheed (born December 15, 1962, in Malé) is a cartoonist and painter from the Maldives. He was detained by the government for four months following the publication of one of his cartoons in the magazine '' Hukuru'' in 1999. In 2001 he was arrested for participating in debates critical of the government, tried for treason, and sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was released on February 22, 2006. Naushad Waheed is also the brother of Dr. Mohammed Waheed Hassan, a leading political figure who served as the 5th president of Maldives from 7 February 2012 to 17 November 2013. Sandhaanu
''Sandhaanu'' (meaning ''Throne'' in English) was an online political news magazine in the Maldives. It was launched in 1999. Its main editor Ahmed Didi together with his main contributors Ibrahim Lutfy and Mohamed Zaki were sentenced to life in prison while another editor (Fathimath Nisreen) to 10 years in prison in 2003 for their criticism of President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and his government.
