Black Butterfly (2017 Film)
''Black Butterfly'' is a 2017 American thriller film directed by Brian Goodman and written by Marc Frydman and Justin Stanley. The film stars Antonio Banderas, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Piper Perabo, Abel Ferrara, Vincent Riotta and Nathalie Rapti Gomez. It was released on May 26, 2017, by Lionsgate Premiere. It is based on a 2008 French television film, ''Papillon Noir'', directed by Christian Faure (director), Christian Faure. Plot On the outskirts of a mountain town grappling with a series of abductions and murders, Paul, a reclusive writer, struggles to start what he hopes will be a career-saving screenplay. After a tense encounter with a drifter named Jack, Paul offers Jack a place to stay. Soon, the edgy, demanding Jack muscles his way into Paul's work. Brian Goodman (born June 1, 1963, Boston, Boston, Massachusetts) is an American film director, television director, writer, and actor. Career Brian Goodman auditioned for, and received, a role in the low-budget film titled ''Southie (film), Southie'' with Donnie Wahlberg. In 2008, Goodman co-wrote and directed the film ''What Doesn't Kill You (film), What Doesn't Kill You''. Goodman has also had recurring and guest-starring roles in a number of different films and television series, including all thirteen episodes of ''Line of Fire (2003 TV series), Line of Fire'' (as Donovan Stubbin) and three episodes of ''Lost (TV series), Lost'' as Ryan Pryce (Lost), Ryan Pryce.
