Black Air
Black Air is a fictional former Governmental Intelligence department appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is depicted as founded and operating primarily within the United Kingdom, initially as an adjunct to the Ministry of Defence. It was introduced, along with Pete Wisdom, in ''Excalibur'' #86 (Feb. 1995), and was created by Warren Ellis. Fictional organization history Black Air, as a covert, secretive Intelligence department, is mandated with the investigation into and research of supernatural and paranormal phenomena, at first alongside, and then replacing another British Intelligence department, the Weird Happenings Organization (aka W.H.O, an homage to the UK sci-fi series, ''Doctor Who''). Genosha ( or ) is a fictional country appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is an island nation that exists in Marvel's main shared universe, known as "Earth 616" in the Marvel Universe and a prominent place in the X-Men chronology. The fictional nation served as an allegory for slavery and later for South African apartheid before becoming a mutant homeland and subsequently a disaster zone. Generation X (comics)
Generation X is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A spin-off of the X-Men, the team was created by writer Scott Lobdell and artist Chris Bachalo. Generation X debuted during the 1994 "Phalanx Covenant" storyline, and appeared in their own monthly series in September 1994 with ''Generation X'' #1 (November 1994). Generation X consisted of teenage mutants designed to reflect the cynicism and complexity of the series' namesake demographic.
