Ann Beretta
Ann Beretta was a punk rock band from Richmond, Virginia. Formed in 1996 by Rob Huddleston, Leer Baker, Chris Rupp and Russ Jones (Baker and Rupp later left), the band plays straightforward punk with small doses of rockabilly and country mixed into their sound. The band spent several years on tour playing with bands including Hot Water Music, ALL, the Bouncing Souls, Less Than Jake and city-mates Avail. They have released albums on Fueled by Ramen and Lookout! Records. However, after their 2001 release ''New Union Old Glory'', they left Lookout! to release their next album on with Canadian label Union Label Group. In late 2004, Ann Beretta disbanded until 2012, when they toured Europe and the UK in support of ''Wild, Young, and Free'' - an LP released exclusively in Europe by Gunnar Records and made up of demos and outtakes. Fueled By Ramen
Fueled by Ramen LLC is an American record label owned by Warner Music Group and distributed by 300 Elektra Entertainment. The label, founded in Gainesville, Florida in 1996, is now based in New York City. History John Janick conceived of the label while attending high school, but it was not until he enrolled at the University of Florida in Gainesville and teamed up with Less Than Jake drummer-lyricist Vinnie Fiorello that Fueled By Ramen became a reality. The name of the label was inspired by only being able to afford a diet of inexpensive instant ramen at the time, due to having invested most of their money into making records. Ramen's first major success came in 1998 with the self-titled EP from Jimmy Eat World, which enabled the label to buy its first office space in Tampa. Critical reception ''CMJ New Music Report'' called the album a "blazing document of bright-eyed and bushy-tailed pogo punk." ''The Austin Chronicle'' wrote: "All's Bill Stevenson provided the CD's monstrous production, guitars, drums, and vocals, all leaping out of the speakers. Though the songwriting could use some of that, there's plenty of power here to ensure that Ann Beretta must be a scorching live band." The ''Reno Gazette-Journal'' listed ''To All Our Fallen Heroes'' as the eighth best album of 1999, writing that "every number is a sing-along with the screaming guitars right up front." AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". He became interested in using computers for his astrological work in the mid-1970s and founded a software company, Matrix, in 1977. ''Ox-Fanzine'' is a monthly punk zine from Solingen, Germany, founded in 1988. It is edited by Joachim Hiller and has had many contributors. Besides its focus on punk subculture, it also covers similar genres, reviews of comics, books and films, and has included serial novels by authors such as Klaus N. Frick. By 2019, ''Ox'' had a circulation of 10,000 copies. History ''Ox-Fanzine'' was founded in 1988 by Joachim Hiller and Biggi Häußler in Heidenheim an der Brenz (Southern Germany). Its first issue was published in January 1989. The zine was named after the cat of Häußler, which appeared on the first cover. After some time, ''Ox'' merged with the zine ''Faces the Facts'' and was joined by its editor Thomas Hähnel, but eventually Häußler and Hähnel left it to focus on other endeavours, leaving Hiller as the only editor.
