Bits Of Freedom
Bits Of Freedom is an independent Dutch digital rights foundation, which focuses on privacy and communications freedom in the digital age. The foundation protects the right for privacy and the right to communications freedom in the Netherlands. Bits of Freedom started in 2000 and had a break between 2006 and August 2009 due to lack of funding. On August 14, 2009, Bits of Freedom continued its activities with funding provided by the Internet4All Foundation. Bits of Freedom organizes the Dutch version of the Big Brother Awards, initiated European cooperation between digital rights watch foundations in European Digital Rights (EDRI) and collects information about data leaks in the Netherlands to raise awareness of the potential dangers of increasing collection of data. An electronic health record (EHR) is the systematized collection of patient and population electronically stored health information in a digital format. These records can be shared across different health care settings. Records are shared through network-connected, enterprise-wide information systems or other information networks and exchanges. EHRs may include a range of data, including demographics, medical history, medication and allergies, immunization status, laboratory test results, radiology images, vital signs, personal statistics like age and weight, and billing information. Annie Machon
Annie Machon (born 1968) is a former MI5 intelligence officer, a writer, and public speaker. In 1996, she resigned from MI5, with the intention to blow the whistle on a series of alleged crimes committed by the agency. Afterward, Machon went on the run around Europe for a month before returning, and was never charged with a crime. In July 1998, she and MI5 colleague David Shayler worked with several media outlets to expose the 1996 Gaddafi assassination plot. After the September 11 attacks, Machon became a vocal member of the 9/11 truth movement. La Quadrature du Net ('' Squaring the Net'' in French) is a French advocacy group that promotes digital rights and freedoms for its citizens. It advocates for French and European legislation to respect the founding principles of the Internet, most notably the free circulation of knowledge. ''La Quadrature du Net'' engages in public-policy debates concerning, for instance, freedom of speech, copyright, regulation of telecommunications and online privacy. Etymology The name of the group is based on squaring the circle (french: quadrature du cercle), an unsolvable mathematical problem. The free-culture movement is a social movement that promotes the freedom to distribute and modify the creative works of others in the form of free content or open content without compensation to, or the consent of, the work's original creators, by using the Internet and other forms of media. Fredrik "Fred" Teeven (born 5 August 1958) is a Dutch jurist, bus driver and former politician and prosecutor. The Senate ( or simply ' , literally "First Chamber of the States General", or sometimes ' ) is the upper house of the States General, the legislature of the Netherlands. Its 75 members are elected on lists by the members of the twelve States-Provincial and four electoral colleges for the Senate every four years, within three months of the provincial elections. Edith Ingeborg Schippers (born 25 August 1964) is a retired Dutch politician of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and businesswoman serving as President of the DSM Company since 1 February 2019. Schippers, a political consultant by occupation, worked for the Industry and Employers Confederation from 1997 until 2003. Schippers became a Member of the House of Representatives shortly after the election of 2003 taking office on 3 June 2003, serving as a frontbencher and spokesperson for Health, deputy spokesperson for Employment and as deputy parliamentary leader.
