Bishop Luffa School
Bishop Luffa School, named after a former Bishop of Chichester, Ralph de Luffa, is a co-educational Church of England secondary school located in Chichester, West Sussex, England. The number of enrolled pupils was around 1,400 in 2010, in eight 'Year' house-forms and the sixth form. The school, formerly a 'Technology College', is now a 'CofE Teaching School', holding Leading Edge status, with national Artsmark and Sportsmark also having been awarded. From its foundation to 2013 the school was a Voluntary Aided establishment, on 1 December 2013 the school successfully converted to Academy status. New classrooms The school applied for planning permission for a drama studio to form the start of a new £2.5m creative arts centre for the school. Academy (English School)
An academy school in England is a state-funded school which is directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. The terms of the arrangements are set out in individual Academy Funding Agreements. Most academies are secondary schools, though slightly more than 25% of primary schools (4,363 as of December 2017) are academies. Academies are self-governing non-profit charitable trusts and may receive additional support from personal or corporate sponsors, either financially or in kind. Academies are inspected and follow the same rules on admissions, special educational needs and exclusions as other state schools and students sit the same national exams. G4 (band)
G4 are a four-piece British vocal troupe who first came to prominence when they finished second in Series 1 of ''The X Factor'' in 2004, and are known for their operatic delivery of modern pop songs. Originally a barbershop quartet, the members met at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, from which the name G4, standing for "Guildhall 4", derives. In 2007 the band disbanded, citing disagreements among the members, but reunited in 2014 to celebrate their ten-year anniversary with a number of concerts nationwide, leading to a new album for Christmas 2015. Silent Witness
''Silent Witness'' is a British crime drama television series produced by the BBC, which focuses on a team of forensic pathology experts and their investigations into various crimes. First broadcast in 1996, the series was created by Nigel McCrery, a former murder squad detective based in Nottingham. Twenty-five series of ''Silent Witness'' have been broadcast since 1996. Amanda Burton starred as primary character Dr. Sam Ryan before leaving the show during the eighth series. Lewis (TV Series)
''Lewis'' is a British television detective drama produced for ITV, first airing in 2006 ( pilot) then 2007 (series 1). It is a spin-off from '' Inspector Morse'' and, like that series, it is set in Oxford. Kevin Whately reprises his character Robert "Robbie" Lewis, who was Morse's sergeant in the original series. Lewis has now been promoted to detective inspector and is assisted by DS James Hathaway, portrayed by Laurence Fox, who was promoted to inspector before the seventh series. Alex Preston (born 1979) is an English author and journalist. Early life and education Preston was born on 18 January 1979, in the seaside town of Worthing in West Sussex. He attended Sompting Abbotts Preparatory School and then received a scholarship to Lancing College independent boarding school. Preston graduated from Hertford College, Oxford and went on to receive his PhD in English Literature from University College London.
