Biseri
Biseri (trans. ''The Pearls'') were a Yugoslav rock band formed in Zagreb in 1965. During the 1960s Biseri performed beat and rhythm and blues. In the 1970s they moved towards pop rock, but failed to achieve larger popularity and disbanded in 1980. Although they were not among the earliest Yugoslav rock bands, Biseri, as other Yugoslav 1960s rock bands, played a pioneering role on the Yugoslav rock scene. History 1965-1980 Biseri were formed in 1965 by Robert Marinčić (vocals), Vladimir Kočiš "Zec" (guitar, vocals), Boris Bregović (guitar), Vladimir Hlady (bass guitar) and Milorad Perić (drums). Crni Biseri
Crni Biseri ( sr-cyr, Црни Бисери, trans. ''The Black Pearls'') were a Yugoslav rock band formed in Belgrade in 1963. The band were one of the pioneers of the Yugoslav rock scene. The band started their career performing beat music, but later moved towards rhythm and blues. During the 1960s they became one of the most popular Yugoslav bands. Although their popularity heavily declined with the arrival of new musical trends and the new generation of Yugoslav bands at the beginning of the 1970s, they were one of rare Yugoslav 1960s bands to continue their career throughout the following decade. Popular music in Yugoslavia includes the pop and rock music of the former SFR Yugoslavia, including all their genres and subgenres. Jugoton was the largest record label and chain record store in the former Yugoslavia based in Zagreb, SR Croatia. History Jugoton was formed in 1947. Suzy Records ( hr, Suzy produkcija gramofonskih ploča) is a record label based in Zagreb, Croatia. History The company was established in the then Socialist Republic of Croatia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1972. After the abandonment of the socialist system and the subsequent breakup of Yugoslavia, during the 1990s the company transformed to SUZY d.o.o. (limited company). However, unlike its bigger competitors Jugoton and PGP-RTB which changed their names to Croatia Records and PGP-RTS respectively, Suzy continued to work under the same name.
