Birralee is the name of two mansions in Adelaide which were associated with William Burford. Willa Willa and Birralee, Belair "Birralee" at Belair, South Australia at 49 Sheoak Road, adjacent to Belair National Park, and overlooking the Adelaide Plains, was originally named "Willa Willa" when it was built in 1887 by Thomas Kinley Hamilton. On his death the estate was subdivided, and that portion containing the main house was later bought by William Burford, who renamed it "Birralee". After Burford's death in 1925, it became the home of his various descendants, then Scotch College, Adelaide, then Belair TB sanatorium, then Repatriation Hospital "Birralee", and then in the 1980s it was used as a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. Birralee is a locality and small rural settlement in the local government areas of Meander Valley and West Tamar, in the Launceston region of Tasmania. It is located about north of the town of Westbury. Marion Lennox (born 1953) is a writer of over 110 romance novels. She began publishing in 1990, and has also written romantic novels under another pseudonym, Trisha David. Biography Marion Lennox was born in Australia in 1953. She was raised in a farming community. She has taught statistics, been a medical receptionist, and been employed in computing at university. She is married and has two children and lives in Queenscliff, Victoria. In search of an occupation she could pursue from home, Lennox decided to attempt novel writing. In 1988, she wrote a medical romance, ''Dare to Love Again'', which was to be her first published novel. It was released in 1990, and since then, she has been a prolific producer of romances. Brisbane Birralee Voices
Voices of Birralee is a non-profit youth choral organization, based in Brisbane, Australia, which has gained a reputation for its leading choirs, that have performed in front of audiences in both Australia and across the world. The organisation was founded in 1995 by Julie Christiansen OAM and has grown to around 400 members from ages 5 – 35, across six ensembles, which include three training choirs (Birralee Piccolos, Birralee Kids and Birralee Singers) and three signature choirs (Brisbane Birralee Voices, Birralee Blokes and Resonance of Birralee). A seventh, project choir, Birralee Recycled, was added in 2016, for adults aged 18 and older.
