Birpur is a village in vaishali district, Bihar which is situated at the river island called Raghopur Diyara Island. It is one of the largest village in Raghopur community block. People of this village are mostly dependent on agriculture. People in this area has long tradition of joining armed forces. Maithili Language
Maithili () is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in parts of Languages of India, India and Languages of Nepal, Nepal. It is native to the Mithila region, which encompasses parts of the Indian states of Bihar and Jharkhand as well as Nepal's eastern Terai. It is one of the 22 Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India, officially recognised languages of India and the second most spoken Languages of Nepal, Nepalese language in Nepal. Raghopur, Vaishali
Raghopur is a community development block in Vaishali district of Bihar. Situated between two streams of the Ganges river, it is a river island. It is connected to Patna by Pipa pul. Ancient name of Raghopur is Kotigram. History The creation and history of the Raghopur island are much older than previously thought, as recently Harappan-type bricks from Raghopur Diara were discovered. While digging for piling work to build a house at the Diara, around 10 km north of Patna, the landowner came across thousands of large bricks. He used some and kept the rest as samples out of curiosity. On 4 April 2017, the director of the state archaeological directorate, Atul Verma, visited the area and checked the samples. Vaishali (ancient City)
Vaishali, Vesali or Vaiśālī was a city in present-day Bihar, India, and is now an archaeological site. It is a part of the Tirhut Division. It was the capital city of the Vajjika League of Vrijji mahajanapada, considered one of the first examples of a republic around the 6th century BCE. Gautama Buddha preached his last sermon before his death in c. 483 BCE, then in 383 BCE the Second Buddhist council was convened here by King Kalasoka, making it an important place in both Jain and Buddhist religions. It contains one of the best-preserved of the Pillars of Ashoka, topped by a single Asiatic lion. Vaishali is also home to possibly the earliest known example of a stupa, the Buddha relic stupa which is said to contain the ashes of the Buddha. Birpur is a city and a notified area in Supaul district in the state of Bihar, India. It is a small town on the Indo-Nepal border near the historic Koshi Barrage on the Koshi River. Bajjika
Bajjika is an Indo-Aryan language variety spoken in parts of eastern India and Nepal. It is closely related to Maithili (of which it is often considered a dialect). Territory and speakers Bajjika is spoken in the north-western part of Bihar, in a region popularly known as Bajjikanchal. In Bihar, it is mainly spoken in the Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Sheohar districts. It is also spoken in a part of the Darbhanga district adjoining Muzaffarpur and Samastipur districts. A 2013 estimate based on 2001 census data suggests that at the time there were 20 million Bajjika speakers in Bihar (including around 11.46 illiterate adults). Hajipur (Lok Sabha Constituency)
Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in the eastern Indian state of Bihar. Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency is reserved for SC. Former Bihar Chief Minister Ram Sundar Das first contested from this seat in 1957 as a Socialist when he was 36 years old, and 57 years later in 2014 for Nitish Kumar's JD-U when he was 93.
