Birol Aksancak (born April 8, 1979) is a retired Turkish footballer who played as a winger. Career Aksancak is a youth product of Ankaragücü, and had three separate stints in the club, and spent various seasons on loan with clubs in the TFF First League. Birol Ünel (18 August 1961 – 3 September 2020) was a Turkish-German actor who played in German and Turkish films, television, and theatrical productions. He was perhaps best known for his role as the alcoholic Cahit Tomruk in Fatih Akin's 2004 drama film '' Head-On'', for which he received the German film prize for Best Actor. Life and career Ünel was born in Silifke, Mersin, in southern Turkey. In 1968, his family moved to Brinkum near Bremen in Germany. He studied acting at the Musikhochschule Hannover. Ünel began as a theatre actor at the Berlin Tacheles where he played the lead and also directed the play ''Caligula''. Ünel made his film debut in 1988's '' The Passenger''. Şenol Birol (1936 – 3 March 2022) was a Turkish footballer who played as a forward, notably for Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe. Career Born in Rize, Birol started his professional career with Sarıyer S.K. and then transferred to Beşiktaş where he played four years between 1959 and 1963. Then he transferred to Fenerbahçe with his team mate Birol Pekel. He played with Fenerbahçe between 1963 and 1966. He also played with Karşıyaka S.K.
