Birgit Keil
Birgit Keil (born 22 September 1944) is a German ballet dancer. She was prima ballerina of the Stuttgart Ballet and was internationally known as ''The German Ballerina'', She has been teaching at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim and directing the ballet ensemble of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Career Keil was born in Kowarschen. She was trained as ballet dancer in Bad Kissingen and in Stuttgart at the ballet school of the Staatstheater Stuttgart. She studied in London at the Royal Ballet School for one year on a scholarship. In 1961, she became a member of the company Stuttgart Ballet, in 1963 she was appointed soloist by John Cranko. She performed major parts of classical as well as modern ballet, as a partner of dancers such as Richard Cragun, Rudolf Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov. Kovářov (Písek District)
Kovářov is a municipality and village in Písek District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,500 inhabitants. Hans Arthur Gerard van Manen (; born 11 July 1932) is a Dutch ballet dancer, choreographer and photographer. He studied under Sonia Gaskell and Françoise Adret. Van Manen wrote many ballets. Lothar Späth (16 November 1937 – 18 March 2016) was a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (Germany), CDU. Life Späth was born in Sigmaringen. From 30 August 1978 to 13 January 1991 Späth was the 5th Minister President of Baden-Württemberg and chairman of the CDU Baden-Württemberg, serving as the 36th President of the German Bundesrat, President of the Bundesrat of Germany, Bundesrat in 1984/85. Vienna State Opera
The Vienna State Opera (, ) is an opera house and opera company based in Vienna, Austria. The 1,709-seat Renaissance Revival venue was the first major building on the Vienna Ring Road. It was built from 1861 to 1869 following plans by August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van der Nüll, and designs by Josef Hlávka. The opera house was inaugurated as the "Vienna Court Opera" (''Wiener Hofoper'') in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. Peter Wright (dancer)
Sir Peter Wright CBE (born 25 November 1926) is a British ballet teacher, choreographer, director and former professional dancer. He worked as a choreographer and as the artistic director of Birmingham Royal Ballet, a classical ballet company based in Birmingham, England. On retiring from the company in 1995, he was bestowed the honorary title of Director Laureate of the company. Early life As a child, Wright was educated at Leighton Park School and then went on to Bedales. Glen Tetley (February 3, 1926 – January 26, 2007) was an American ballet and modern dancer as well as a choreographer who mixed ballet and modern dance to create a new way of looking at dance, and is best known for his piece ''Pierrot Lunaire''.
