BioSteel All-Canadian Basketball Game
The BioSteel All-Canadian Basketball Game is an annual Canadian all-star game featuring high school basketball players. It was founded in 2015 by BioSteel Sports Nutrition Inc. and Canada Basketball. Originally a boys basketball game, the event was expanded to include a girls game in 2019. The games features the top 24 male and female high school basketball players either born in Canada or playing in the country. The Canadian game has drawn comparisons to America's McDonald's All-American Game. The first boys game was attended by upwards of 60 executives and scouts from the National Basketball Association (NBA). The game is broadcast by The Sports Network (TSN), who showed the inaugural event on tape delay before presenting it live the following year. All-star Game
An all-star game is an exhibition game that purports to showcase the best players (the "stars") of a sports league. The exhibition is between two teams organized solely for the event, usually representing the league's teams based on region or division, but sometimes dividing the players by an attribute such as nationality. Selection of the players may be done by a vote of the coaches and/or news media; in professional leagues, fans may vote on some or all of the roster. Elijah Fisher (born January 3, 2004) is a Canadian college basketball player. He plays for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Early life and high school career Fisher was born in Oshawa, Ontario, the second of five children of Thelia and Rohan Fisher. At age 12, as a seventh-grader, he competed for the under-18 high school team at Crestwood Preparatory College in Toronto. Quincy Guerrier (born May 13, 1999) is a Canadian college basketball player for the Oregon Ducks men's basketball, Oregon Ducks of the Pac-12 Conference. Matur Marial Maker (born 1 January 1998) is a South Sudanese-born Australian basketball player who last played for the Canterbury Rams of the New Zealand National Basketball League (New Zealand), National Basketball League (NZNBL).
