Binibining Pilipinas 2015 was the 52nd edition of Binibining Pilipinas. It took place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on March 15, 2015. At the end of the event, Mary Jean Lastimosa crowned Pia Wurtzbach as Miss Universe Philippines 2015, Bianca Guidotti crowned Janicel Lubina as Binibining Pilipinas International 2015, Kris Tiffany Janson crowned Christi McGarry as Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015, Yvethe Marie Santiago crowned Rogelie Catacutan as Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2015, and Parul Shah crowned Ann Colis as Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2015. Pia Wurtzbach
Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach ( ; ; born September 24, 1989), formerly known professionally as Pia Romero, is a Filipino model, actress and beauty queen who is known for being crowned Miss Universe 2015. She joined Binibining Pilipinas pageant three times, and won in 2015 in her third attempt. She then represented Philippines at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, where she eventually won the title, becoming the first Filipina to win the pageant in four decades, and the first Filipina to win the pageant in the 21st century. She is the third Filipina to win the title of Miss Universe, following Gloria Diaz who won in 1969 and Margie Moran who won in 1973, and was succeeded by Catriona Gray three years later, with Gray winning Miss Universe 2018. Miss International 2015, the 55th Miss International pageant, was held on November 5, 2015 at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico crowned her successor Edymar Martínez of Venezuela at the end of the event with a new crown created and designed by Mikimoto. Miss Universe 2015
Miss Universe 2015 was the 64th Miss Universe pageant, held at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on December 20, 2015. This was the first edition of the pageant to be held under the ownership of WME/IMG, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization from Donald Trump on September 14, 2015. Consequently, it is also the first Miss Universe event to be aired by Fox and Azteca as the pageant's respective English and Spanish broadcasters instead of NBC. Parul Quitola Shah is an Indian-Filipino model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2014 at the Binibining Pilipinas 2014. In 2015, she was appointed as Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2015. Pageantry She competed at the Binibining Pilipinas 2013 pageant and was chosen as one of the 15 semi-finalists.
