Binibining Pilipinas 2012 was the 49th edition of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant. It was held on April 15, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. At the end of the event, Shamcey Supsup crowned Janine Mari Tugonon as Miss Universe Philippines 2012, Dianne Elaine Necio crowned Nicole Cassandra Schmitz as Binibining Pilipinas International 2012, and Isabella Angela Manjon crowned Katrina Jayne Dimaranan as Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2012. Elaine Kay Moll was named 1st Runner-Up, and Annalie Forbes was named 2nd Runner-Up. Later that year, Elaine Kay Moll was appointed as Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2012. Smart Araneta Coliseum
The Araneta Coliseum, also currently known by naming rights sponsorship as Smart Araneta Coliseum, is an indoor multi-purpose arena, sports arena that is part of the Araneta City in the Cubao area of Quezon City, Philippines. Nicknamed as "the Big Dome", it is one of the largest indoor arenas in Asia, and it is also one of the largest clear span domes in the world. Miss International 2012, the 52nd Miss International pageant, was held on October 21, 2012 at Okinawa Prefectural Budokan Arena Building in Okinawa, Japan. Fernanda Cornejo from Ecuador crowned her successor Ikumi Yoshimatsu from Japan at the end of the event. Yoshimatsu was dethroned shortly before the end of her reign, but she was not replaced.
