Bingo (1991 Film)
''Bingo'' is a 1991 Cinema of the United States, American family film, family comedy film directed by Matthew Robbins (screenwriter), Matthew Robbins and released by TriStar Pictures. Bingo, a runaway circus dog saves the life of Chuckie (Robert J. Steinmiller Jr.), a young boy who is somewhat an outcast within his family. The two quickly become best friends — skateboarding, playing pinball, and doing math homework together. But Chuckie's parents discover the stowaway pooch and make it clear that Bingo will not accompany them on their cross-country move. Plot Bingo is an outcast circus dog whose owners, Steve (Simon Webb (actor), Simon Webb) and his wife, Ginger (Suzie Plakson), pay little attention to. Matthew Robbins (screenwriter)
Matthew Robbins (born July 15, 1945) is an American screenwriter and film director best known for his writing work within the American New Wave movement. He collaborated with numerous filmmakers within the movement including George Lucas, Walter Murch and Steven Spielberg, on films like ''The Sugarland Express'', ''Close Encounters of the Third Kind'', and ''Jaws.'' He has also worked frequently with Guillermo del Toro, writing his films ''Mimic'', ''Crimson Peak'' and ''Pinocchio''. Robbins has frequently worked with writer Hal Barwood. Prior to attending USC School of Cinematic Arts, Robbins graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1965 where he was classmate and friends with Walter Murch and Caleb Deschanel. Antony Holland
Antony Holland (28 March 1920 – 29 July 2015) was an English actor, playwright and theatre director who until his death in 2015 lived on Gabriola Island, British Columbia, Canada. History Holland completed his drama training at the Labour Stage in London. Shortly after, he was called into His Majesty's Armed Forces as a signalman at the onset of the Second World War. While training at the coastal town of South Shields, he put on a play in a local abandoned theatre. Holland continued to mount productions in his spare time throughout the course of the war. He was granted the officers' lounge for rehearsals and cast approximately 100 men in a wide variety of roles, including parts that required playing women.
