Ama Biney
Ama Biney (born 1960s) is a British Ghanaian historian, journalist, political scientist and academic, who for more than 25 years has lectured and taught courses on African and Caribbean history, the History of Black People in Britain, and on international relations in the UK and in Ghana, including at such institutions as Middlesex University, Birkbeck College, University of London, the University of Liverpool, and Webster University Ghana Campus, Webster University Ghana. Among outlets for which she has written are ''New African'' magazine, ''African Studies Quarterly'', South African History Online and ''Pambazuka News'', for which she has served as Editor-in-Chief. As an independent Pan-Africanist scholar and activist, she follows Steve Biko's tradition of "writing what she likes." Maame Biney
Maame Biney (born January 28, 2000) is an American short track speed skater who competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Early life Biney was born in Accra, Ghana. At age five, she relocated to the United States to live with her father. Biney began skating when she was six years old in Northern Virginia. She began figure skating but switched to speed skating on a coach's recommendation. Career Biney won the bronze medal in the 500-meters at the 2017 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships. She made her senior team debut later that year winning the America's Cup at the U.S Speedskating Short Track World Cup Qualifier. On December 16, 2017, Biney qualified for the 2018 Olympics by winning the 500-meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials, becoming the second African-born athlete to represent the U.S. at the Winter Olympics, after Madagascar-born biathlete Dan Westover in 1998. Oliver Biney (born 8 August 1983) is a British professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, performing under the ring name Rampage Brown. He is known for his work throughout the European and British independent wrestling circuit. However, Rampage briefly worked for American promotions World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling in 2011 and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in September 2014.
