Assemblage 23
Assemblage 23 is an Electronic music, electronic act from the United States, currently based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. It was founded in 1988 by Tom Shear who writes the music and lyrics and does the recording himself. Live performances are supported by Paul Seegers on keyboards and Mike Jenney on drums. History 1980s–1990s (pre–Assemblage 23) Prior to starting Assemblage 23, Shear experimented with music under the name Man on a Stage, beginning in the early 1980s. Most of Shear's music at this point was instrumental, as he lacked the confidence to sing; the quality of the music itself was highly questionable by his own admission. Shear eventually began to add vocals to his music; at the same time, Shear was also playing bass in a live band called the Advocates. Electronic body music (EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe, as an outgrowth of both the punk and the industrial music cultures. It combines sequenced repetitive basslines, programmed disco rhythms, and mostly undistorted vocals and command-like shouts with confrontational or provocative themes. Accession Records
Accession Records is a German independent record label created by Adrian Hates the frontman of the band Diary Of Dreams in 1995 year. Have a division sub-label, Succession Records, who recorded some bands until 2010. Early in its existence, only DoD albums were released on the label, but in 1999 contracts were signed with other bands. At the same time, connections were made with overseas partner labels - Canadian Scratched! and American Metropolis Records. The names of the bands under contract are mainly known in the Gothic, darkwave, neo-folk, (new) wave, EBM and industrial.
